Dead as a hammer.

I asked the question on HOB about how low traffic sites survive.

Went over to the Scout board. The busiest thread was the UK Media Day. There were 49 posts, 46 by Jeff Drummond. There hasn't been a post on their premium board since yesterday.

The 247 board isn't much better. Sometimes a couple of hours between posts over there.

Overall, 247 seems to have a lot of active team boards, even more than Rivals. Scout seems badly outdated, and very few of their team boards are active at all.

Just find it interesting the major differences in activity across the 3 major networks.

247 is a mess and the least self aware people for a staff i have seen

It is the dead period largely but they are both going pretty slow

At least you don't have to sort past the incessant irrelevant threads about LV on those places. So childish. UK people really care who shot whom at LV?

I can probably count on two hands the number of times I've been on the Scout site, and that's usually because someone linked a thread from the site.

As for 247, I have an account over there but don't post there much anymore. I gave up my paid subscription to 247 after my wife and I bought a new car over 18 months ago and I haven't seen a reason to re-activate it. I respect the mods and a lot of the posters over there, but the lack of activity noted by the OP doesn't motivate me to spend my money on their site. If you're not a paying member over there, you generally can only post to a thread that's been initiated by one of the mods.

As I see it, the turning point at 247 was after the 2015 FF loss to Wisconsin. Their board was literally overrun by big 10 and other anti UK fans and it caused a lot of offense to many of the posters, myself included. In response, UK 247 management decided to close the board off from non- UK members, and it's never really recovered in terms of traffic.

In summary, I have come to really like this particular site.

Between here and KSR, I pretty much find out anything I need to know. Are the posters on the UK Scout board as stupid as the ones on the UL scout board?
