Who's tuning in tonight? I love a good documentary and the 30 for 30 stuff is usually top-notch. I'm pretty pumped for this one. I'm 36, so those Bulls teams really hit their stride when I was a preteen and started really following sports.

It's actually pretty surprising that Jordan, being the control freak that he is, signed off on this. For those that follow the NBA, Jordan being a bit unsavory and a gigantic prick is common knowledge, but his image has been somewhat unscathed among the casual sports fan.

You have to wonder how Jordan feels knowing that this thing is going to air at the apex of national boredom. Hundreds of thousands more will be tuning in because we aint got **** to do.

Imagine telling Phil Jackson you're not going to coach my team anymore even if you win a third straight championship. Can't wait to get into more of the turmoil of the team as a lot of this was stage setting.

How do you have this face and walk around everyday without getting punched 2-3 times? To be the GM of a professional team while being so hate-able on looks alone is pretty impressive, but I still hate him.

He put together a pretty good team. Traded for pippen. Traded Oakley for Cartwright. Signed Rodman.

All good points, and that's what I was getting at. He had to be good at what he did to get what he got. I mean...look at him. I'd still like to at least slap him full force.

I agree. Sounds like the players, especially pippen didn’t cut him any slack. Seems like he wanted more credit than he got and resented the players. He wanted to tear it down so he could prove he could build it again.

I have enjoyed this documentary so far. I was fortunate enough to watch the Bulls and Supersonics in a pre-season match up at Rupp back in 91. We had seats behind the basket and I was able to get a pic of Mike and Scottie after they were taken out of the game from about 20 ft away.

I posted in another thread, but f it, I'll share it again. I've been going down the rabbit hole of old Jordan footage recently and came across this. Still so good:

I think this may have been the moment in my childhood where I fell in love with sports. I can remember being at summer basketball camp with all of us circled around in the locker room after drills, one of the coaches rolling over a TV to start this up, and just being immediately sucked in. The first four minutes are simply enthralling. The music, the damn magic of it all... man, it doesn't get much better. I miss this ****.

Stories coming out today that Jordan wouldn't let Horace Grant eat after bad games, lol. We need more if that in the documentary.

Signed Kukoc, which was a visionary move, and Ron Harper. Many others too.

From what I can tell, his biggest problem was continuously putting the organization as a whole forward, with no focus on players. I get it, and don't disagree, but given the rift it created it was poor messaging that he should've recognized

all those moves seemed like genius.....when he had the greatest that ever played and one of the best of all time together to put these pieces next to. when he broke things up, he looked like a dumbass.

anyone posting in this thread could have put a team together next to Jordan and Pippen with Phil coaching and been a champion. anyone looked good and would have playing with those 3.

Krause's best move was firing Doug Collins after he made the Eastern Conference finals in favor of little-known Phil Jackson. Jackson as we know him might not've existed if it wasn't for that. And Jordan loved Collins too, so that move took some balls.

I saw an advance clip of Sunday and it looks like Gary Payton was in Jordan's crosshairs in one of the episodes. MJ disrespected him in a way only MJ can.

Jordan comes off like a total ******* in this documentary. And the way he and Pippen treated Krause was really inexcusable. Krause is now dead and Jordan still refuses to give him any credit. Really a bad look imo.

Sure, Krause was dumb to try to rebuild after 98. But how much of that did Jordan cause by retiring the first time in 93 and then after he came back in 95 continually talking about retiring again?
