Go to 8 teams would be a good start. Should have been that way from the beginning.

Or even 6 and give 1 & 2 a first round bye for being ranked top. Assuming they really are the best, it would mean nobody would play anymore games than are already played in the current system. Now if 3-6 make it to the champ game, then yeah, there's an extra game played.

I also like this model, too. It provides a reward (bye week) for being the best during regular season. The problem I have with the 8 team model, is that 1 and 2 should not have to play 8 and 7, and then win 2 more to secure the NC. But, if 5 and 6 can get past 3 and 4, then I don't have a problem with 1 and 2 having to face them.

The post season bowl lineup is a Joke. Screw that crap and focus on a real playoff. NCAA basketball is the best at determining the national champion. Too many games for football but make it more realistic.
