That's almost certainly true.Actually your Republican friends on the right in congress will shred it too so expect to get it from both sides.
I would expect nothing less from them.Sure the left should just act like they don't care about the things Trump is tryin to slash from the budget, right?
You got it EXACTLY right. The LEFT should become semi-adults and look at the budget (whioh Obama ceased to try and produce) as a major stepping stone toward getting the Government under control. Ask yourselves what major negative will occur with the proposed 'cuts' (most of which are not CUTS at all but decreases in the increases!). Much of what is proposed is to reduce the size of many agencies who are far larger than needed and wasting a lot of money. Streamline! But the Dems only want to give and give and give whether it be money for meaningless research or jobs to loafers. wise us folks--the swamp is swallowing all that is good and MUST be drained back to productive dry land. But, we will never cease to hear the same old worn out tune of killing kids and old folks and destroying the Country. Cuts (actual CUTS) in agencies like the EPA are necessary. They have exploded far beyond their original reason for being. Dept of Education is unnecessary, entirely. Move money to the States and get Washington out of their assumed role in education. Many, many others are in this boat and Trump has the courage to really evaluate and put available funds where needed and useful--military is an example where Obama cut, and cut until the military suffered.Sure the left should just act like they don't care about the things Trump is tryin to slash from the budget, right?
I hope that wasn't sarcastic. Trump won, the GOP is in power, they get to do what they think is best....the voters decreed. But the left shouldn't just sit and take it like bitchesI would expect nothing less from them.

Yeah? Could you name a couple?I care about things that aren't in the fed, nor state, budget. I put money towards those things myself. I don't expect others to foot the same bill I do because they may not care about it like I do. See how that works?

Just like calling the last 8 years as ruinous socialism by unAmerican libruls. Hyperbole runs rampant in DC.They may, but the "children are going to die" ******** is a joke and contributes nothing to the process. The left can disagree with the budget, but they need to grow the fuc# up about it.

lolFor this nation's survival, we must do the following:
1. Get on track to balance our budget and begin to pay down our debt. It will destroy the quality of life for future Americans is we do not.
2. We have to achieve a minimum of 3% annual GDP growth or we won't be able to dig ourselves out of the hole we have dug. And 3% is a minimum.
3. We have to recreate the work ethic that made this country great. Get the able bodied off of the government dole.
4. We need immigration, but not the kind we have now. We need to focus on highly skilled, upwardly mobile, wealthy immigrants from all over the world. We don't need any more low skilled, low wage workers to drag down wages.
5. We need a dramatically improved education system that prepares kids with skills for the new economy including trade skills. We have to get out of the paradigm that we can't improve education competition because of its potential impact on public schools. If public schools are not getting the job done, we need some type of school that gets it done.
6. We have to reform entitlements (Trump, Obama, Clinton have all taken a pass). Bush tried, but Dems blocked. At some point, we need leaders that will actually make the tough decisions that are best for the country and not for their next election. Not sure how we get there as our politicians are only getting worse.
7. We need to beef up our military and become the world's leader again. We have seen the massive destruction of just being one of the guys and leading from behind.
8. Identity politics has to stop. We are all Americans. Immigrants must assimilate or not allowed entry. We can't become balkanized like Europe.
I agree that the budget should be balanced. I agree that efficiency should be paramount in deciding the successes and failures of government orgs and programs. I agree that welfare assistance should be a temporary condition, and case workers should press recipients into finding permanent solutions to their conditions. I agree that public education needs to be rethought in form, structure, and evaluation of successes.Instead of an incredibly unintelligent reply, what specifically do you disagree with? Make your case.

I passionately disagree with your foolish assessment that "private schools" or "some other type of school" would be the solution for education. As vouchers become more prominent, and tuition increases, the cost for the government would be equal to or would exceed the public school system (imo), or else students would simply be left behind with no avenue to that education. Charter, STEM, and magnet schools are good solutions that help currently. But to me the problem at its core is how the administrators are not given total authority, teachers are not given autonomy with curriculum, and the entire system is not given respect from parents and society in general. Teacher tenure should be ended, core concepts should be thrown out (or used simply as helping guides for writing curriculum), and standardized testing should be scaled back as just a component of evaluation.
I also think the cuts that Trump proposes hurt our society. I understand that just because these cuts make sense to conservatives, it doesn't mean that they are not in favor of the arts, cancer research, or educational grants in certain areas. That said, I think a consistent stream of funding in these areas (without a need for fund raising expenditures) is better for success in overall in these areas.
I also disagree that "leading" is only done successfully through force and intimidation. I think cuts in military are extremely needed. Not to weaken the military, but force the military to be more efficient with a smaller (still insanely large) budget. But we can lead through diplomacy that isn't dependent on Rossevelt's big stick theory (besides we already have a pretty big stick).
I most certainly disagree that assimilation should be a deal breaker for immigration. I want us to embrace more refugees. I want us to establish a system of bringing in youth from other nations (esp in the ME) and working it out to where we send them back educated and armed with resources to help develop their own nations. I think diveristy of culture is wonderful for this nation. I embrace it.
Would hate for them to not be who they are.But the left shouldn't just sit and take it like bitches
Multi-culturalism, imo, is a simplistic attempt to define what is occurring. Law is law, I would never advocate for communities to live under any law not Constitutional and accepted by the nation / state / county / city in which they live. I think this is what many want to believe is happening here, and to some extent I agree....but certainly not on the level that some seek to project. Immigration is assimilation, some can't learn the language, some treat women in ways most Americans do not agree with (btw, that happens in non-immigrant American homes as well), some have religions, artistic tastes, and social practices that seem in contrast to our norms.....but I agree the Constitution should reign over any and all that live, work, or reside here permanently (other than ambassadors of course). I doubt many on the left seek anything else. Offering a pathway to citizenship would be the fix for the problem of sanctuary cities and less xenophobic attitudes would be the fix for a passionate lack of openness to American norms, imo.Boom, multiculturalism is failing in Europe. The example is very apparent to all who can see. Immigrants not assimilating, living in their own communities, sometimes under their own law does not work. Check out Belgium or France if you want real world examples of the failure of multiculturalism.
Assimilation does not mean you give up your old traditions (food, dance, language taught at home, song, etc.). What it does mean is that you embrace U.S. values of equality, free speech, the Constitution, our laws, etc. Without that, you lose the country. Assimilation has worked for us for centuries. Multi-culturalism is failing. Why should we adopt it? Insane.
We have already made massive cuts to defense due to Sequestration. The world is in turmoil and very, very dangerous. North Korea, Iran, the Middle East, Russia, etc. Cutting defense is a terrible idea. The first job of government is to protect the citizens. It is not to provide handouts.
Lastly, public schools, particularly in inner cities are absolute failures. Why not let the state money flow to a school that actually succeeds. Why should parents be locked into failing schools. The only way to turn around failing schools is to force them to compete. It's the primary reason why the private sector companies are much, much more efficient and effective than government. I know you are a teacher. My sister taught for 40 years and firmly believes in vouchers to improve competition and ultimately the quality of education.
I knew it!Would hate for them to not be who they are.
I mean after all, I'm just sitting back drinking champagne on my plantation of white privilege. For ***** and grins I like to pour battery acid and motor oil into the nearby reservoirs. Why? Because **** poor people who can't afford Vos. Also, I sometimes just go start my giant SUV and let the engine run for hours on end in the driveway. I like to water my lawn when it's raining. I sometimes buy food just to throw it away. Also, I don't recycle. Ever. I've been eyeing some hold folks that I can swindle and steal all of their money and then burn their house down, with them in it. Old people suck. The thing that really turns me on though is bankrupting the local public schools and forcing a return to segregation because my white kids, obviously wipe their *** with $100 bills can afford the good schools.

I'm not talking about Europe. Pathway to citizenship does solve a lot. Lawmakers on the left feel a desire to look out for families here in the US, children (who are legal US citizens could be removed from the family homes), immigrants that want citizenship who have worked very hard for the people of this nation who have benefitted.....it's not a crazy stance, and it's not just identity politics. Look to areas in Florida, Texas, California where good people have sought a new life here....not unlike times in the past, but now have no options but deportation. Provide a pathway, and many on the left would be behind stricter enforcement of immigration laws, and more intense vetting for future immigration.Wrong, many on the left want the immigrants to be able to keep their language, laws, customs, etc. Especially in Europe.
As for sanctuary cities, pathway to citizenship solves nothing. Cities that protect criminals from the law, must be punished. Criminal illegal aliens must be deported, starting with gangs. After all the criminals are sent back, we can then look at some form of legalization (e.g. work permits). But cities must obey the law. You can't pick and choose which laws to obey.
And if anyone actually believes that a immigrant community in the US would be allowed to follow their own laws in contrast to the US Constitution.....their minds are warped substantially by the divisive rhetoric in the political climate. That's absolute crap.Wrong, many on the left want the immigrants to be able to keep their language, laws, customs, etc. Especially in Europe.
