I didn't really like the Dickie character. I did like the surprise of who had him wacked.

Filling in some gaps, history and relationships was gratifying.

I agree. However, much of the film just seemed like a setup for a new spin off series. The plot/storytelling was weak. Much like comparing the first 2-3 seasons of the original series to the rest. The later just wasn't as good.

The movie felt thin because the plot wasn’t based around all mob stuff. They wanted to touch on a few things mentioned in the series, but not get too detailed or that would have been 6 hours long.

It’s been years since the screen went black so naturally anything was good for me. I hope they do make a series because dickie passing probably had a huge impact on Tony.

Loved the Sopranos but wasn't impressed with TMSON. I may try to re-watch it again at some point and give it another shot.
