Cut line is currently plus 2. A 72 should make the weekend for Tiger. Plus 1 and T35 right now through 6 holes. Jimmy Walker is the big surprise for getting cut. He really needs a run.

Yeah, JB has his work cut out. He goes off at 2:00 EST. If the wind gets up, the course could dry out and the cut line will expand to around 4 over. If it storms a little and the greens get wet, the cut line will stay around 2 to 3. Again, right now, plus 2 is the cut line. JB is at plus 4 right now. A 70 might get him in. It's going to be tough.

He looked like the pressure was getting to him yesterday then he regroups and birdies 18. For a 21 year old guy, he's got the poise and composure of a 30 year veteran.

Tiger playing very well. Now T16 at -1 for the tournament. A top ten, even for Tiger, would be an incredible accomplishment.

36 hole record by Raymond Floyd at -13 in 1976. Spieth at -12 through 10 holes. If he pars 11 and 12, he will be looking at a 66 or possibly a 65 which would be a -15 after Friday. I love Spieth, but I will depend on Augusta National to get him before this day is over and he will finish with a 68, just short of Floyd.

Tiger birdied 11!!! That is huge!! Very difficult hole. Now at -3 on the day and -2 for the tournament. T12. Safely on the green at 12 also.

One of the more amazing stories is that Charley Hoffman is only 4 strokes back!!!!

Also, lots of Old Fart stories: O'Meara, Cabrera, Els, Woods, Mickelson.

Spieth has such a large lead, it may not matter. But going to wire to wire would be a really tough thing to do, especially for a 21 year old.

Yeah, that is just the Masters. As for me, I like it that way. The Patrons are really, really respected and given precedent. Much more money could be made with more TV coverage and with more commercials. But that's not what The Masters is all about. The payoff is Sunday afternoon TV (esp when it is a close tournament) like no other. The Men of the Masters do things their way and it seems to work.

I watched most of his second nine on my tablet. But you're right, it's ridiculous that you have to do that.

One of the coolest things in sports, at least IMO, is watching an athlete take their final turns in their prospective sport. Was really pulling for Crenshaw to nail that birdie on 18 today but still really awesome to see a guy get so much respect. I can't imagine the emotions. Of course that dime piece waiting for you after you finish I'm sure makes it a little easier, deer lowered she is fine

Crenshaw special at 10pm Monday night on TGC. Love that he has so much respect and knowledge for the history of the game. Not many I know of are better golf historians. When he speaks, I listen.

Jordan Spieth? Does he follow up with another unbelievable round and put this thing out of reach today or does he come back to the pack a little

I'm setting the over/under today for Charley Hoffman at 76 and going over. I hope I'm wrong.

Also unreal yesterday was Dustin Johnson's 3 eagles. Very long player. He needs to avoid so many bogeys.

I really like the Augusta National course. It seems like nearly the perfect risk/reward setup and provides exciting golf. Some of the US and British Open courses are made so difficult (sometimes tricked-up) that they favor conservative, steady players, and the scoring opportunities are limited.

This tournament isn't over. Course will play tougher these last two days with pin placements and dryer greens. No lead is safe. You are just a bad shot away from a double bogie and somebody behind you makes an eagle.

I think Justin Rose makes a run at the lead today. Did well after struggling early yesterday. Think he shoots 66 or so.

Good observation. Thanks. I'll have to keep an eye on him.

Hoffman has been struggling in 3rd rounds this year. Augusta National will definitely have a few tweaks for the weekend and it will be playing 2-3 strokes tougher. They could shave a bank here or stimp a green there. Hoffman will have to adjust and probably won't. I'm guessing a 74 for Hoffman.

Wow, Dustin Johnson has game. He has trouble between the ears though. He could easily kill the Par 5's again and shoot a 65 or 66. His father-in-law, The Great One, is trying to help him with the mental part of the game.

I do like Rose to make a push and don't count Lefty out of the tournament through today. Sunday is another story for Mickelson. Should be fun to watch.

Johnson's father-in-law is Wayne Gretzky and has attempted to work with him on the mental part of the game. Interestingly, Gretzky seemed more of a natural ice hockey player and didn't really require the mental edge that most do when it comes to be the greatest of all time. Johnson has a top 5 game on tour and just needs to get everything straight between the ears.

Mickelson is top 10 the first two rounds in driving accuracy. If he continues to do that, he will make a run.. Rose will be solid.

Edit: Dustin Johnson.....Married to Paulina Gretzky. At least two DUI's. Disputed failure of cocaine drug test by PGA.

RIckie Fowler went to school at Oklahoma State, thus the orange get up. No bigger than a popcorn fart but a really good player and decent person. Finished in the Top 5 in every major last year.
