Well, its almost upon us. Guess we need a thread. I haven't read it yet but this should be a real good article on Tiger.

Outside of the favorites I will roll with Oosthuizen (28-1) and Matsuyama (35-1)

Americans not favored, Snedeker (45-1) , or long shot Matt Kucher (80-1) for a value pick.

Will throw some small coin on Matsuyama (35-1), Snedeker (45-1), and Kucher (80-1), probably $20 each.

Favorite I will bet, Adam Scott. Bubba Watson getting no love I see. Pricks get that treatment sometimes.

How much does that pay on a .50 tri-box?

I'm a huge Bubba fan and I pull for him to win in every tournament he plays. Us lefties gotta stick together and I completely understand his social anxiety issues. Always been told I come across as a "prick" by those that first meet me, but once you get to know me I'm a pretty good dude. People close to Bubba say the same thing, he is just very closed off and protective of himself.

Do not know, too complicated for me. Will just throw $20 on each. Matsuyama at 35-1 is a nice pick. A cool $700 for a guy who can flat strike the ball. Scott and Watson would bring you $200 and $220, no value really, if you really wanted to reach, Bill Haas at 100-1 is a nice gamble. Throw
$10 in the pot, collect a cool stack.

$10 on Scott ($220 return)
$10 on Haas ($1000 return)
$20 on Oosthuizen ($560 return)
$20 on Matsuyama ($700 return)
$20 on Snedeker ($900 return)
$20 on Kuchar ($1600 return)

So, spending $100 on 6 bets, if even the smallest pays off, it will be 2.2 x my investment. I normally bet $100 per game when betting NFL, NCAA basketball, football, NBA, so I look at it like I have 6 chances to win instead of 1. Plus, I will at least get 2.2 x my initial bet, better than even money betting single games. Whew, my head hurts. Good luck to everyone and their wagers, remember, gamble responsibly.

Bubba "Not competing in the long drive (contest) was the first mistake," Watson said Tuesday from The Barclays. "Then you look at my attitude on the golf course ... And then my language was not good. That's a different topic, and childish again."

"I take it on the chin," Watson said. "It was my fault. Everything's my fault and I should be bigger and stronger and better than that."

"I've got to get a new umbrella this week because it started raining right when we putted out and I was walking across the bridge, and a guy goes, 'Bubba, can I have your umbrella?" Watson said. "So I just gave it to him. I was like, I'm done. You need it more than I do. You've got to go follow the leaders, so I gave my umbrella away.

"I don't know who it was. It was some fan. Or maybe it was just a guy that needed an umbrella. He could have been a writer, too, I guess. He didn't want me to sign it. He just wanted an umbrella."

A man that makes mistakes and owns them, and works to improve himself.

I get it Mav, you don't like Bubba. I'm guessing he is to you like DJ is to me. Wasn't trying to argue with you, just wanted the other side of the coin to be represented.

Louis is made for that course. Where is Brooks on your man crush list? You mention him a lot.

Are you going to put some $$ on Louis and Hideki ? I think at 28-1 and 35-1 there is some serious value there.

Oh and Bubba is a *****. Everybody has friends that like them. Yippee.

"Hey guys I gave some person that is beneath me and I don't care about an umbrella that was given to me by a sponsor. I'm really just a good old boy. Awesome shucks. I'll start crying now. Did I tell you we adopted Caleb?"

High. Koepka has crazy game, bound to break out sooner or later.

Same for Justin Thomas, who has plenty of time obviously. That kid has the swing & raw power/talent that nearly match the big boys, I truly believe that. He just lacks experience for now. Don't really like him at the Masters where experience is key, but overall, He's next.

Kisner is a bulldog. Feel like he's the next Zach Johnson maybe, although Zach obviously isn't going anywhere for awhile.

Louis has the best swing on the planet.

Hideki is a robot.

Not sure I trust DJs putter on the back 9 at Augusta with the lead.
I don't trust his putter either, but the options get a little limited when you're picking someone outside of the obvious top 6 choices or whatever.

Maybe should have picked Zach though.

Count me in the Anti Bubba category. What a phony and a sham.
I was at the Masters last year, we hung out Sunday and Monday night, bummer since UK lost to Wisconsin.
We hung out at a place with some caddies, one guy who has had Adam Scott and some big name guys on his bag and some others that are big name. We had a blast, they love the Masters, fund first 2-3 days of practice etc.

Asked who were good guys on tour, Justin Rose, Kuchar, Stenson, Dufner, Sneds, Els, Rory, McDowell, Stricker,Spieth, Jimmy Walker, Dustin Johnson, David Duvall, .Most like Ricky Fowler, Aussies are generally well liked, tough but nice guys. Sergio is ok, Padraig, Euro's are fun guys, Westwood.

Guys who did not get a big thumbs up. Bubba because he is a phony hypocrite that blames every bad shot on wind, caddie's yardage or pulled wrong club. Hate his stance on drinking and saying he will not allow it around him etc. Just shut up and play and try to act like you are the moral compass jackass. Most can't stand him, respect the hell out of his game and admire his ability to create shots, play both ways fade or draw. Old School

A lot of them said JB Holmes is nice guy and all like but tour pros hate playing with him because he is slow.
Said Tiger was banging Dufner's wife last year at this time, Jimmy Walker's wife had a fling with Dustin

These guys were funny and great. One would say something and one of the caddies would say oh gosh, that guy is such a douche or he was banging some girl and his wife was in locker room. Funny stuff.

Personal experience with Bubba. Total prick. I'm okay with his beliefs, even the anti drinking, but his social issues continue and he hasn't changed. I don't see a "new" Bubba yet. Great golfer though and always a favorite at Augusta.

If Hale Irwin can win a US Open at 45 and Tom Watson can contend in a British Open at 59, then Tiger CAN win another major, especially the Masters where the course sets up and the field is smaller. (He has a better chance at Augusta than at Sawgrass where the field is elite.) But the odds are against him. He was amazing during his peak, but I don't think he wins another major.
