Stop playing with them.

It’s getting stuck behind them that irks me. The 27 handicapper who takes 8 practice swings and 15 waggles, then restarts the routine if he hears a cricket. Then he reads his 30 foot bogey putt from 9 different angles and leaves it 8 feet short.

Sounds like some anger issues here. the three u don't like are great players and good guys too. Spieth plays slow but he is not unlikable. Grab a bourbon and relax and try to think of why you would want a clown like Woods to win over the good guys that you don't like.

Random thought, does anyone beside me think that Poulter has a shot? He played lights out last weekend and if he keeps it up I can see him making some noise.

After much thought I am going with Rory this week. After seeing him putt so well at Bay Hill I think he has everything in place to do it now.

Jack in his Goldfinger pose. Classic.
Looks like some guys snuck in that picture. As great a tournament as it is, they have some clunkers for former champs, Mize, Immelman, Finch.
Cabrera is the warlord from Clear and Present Danger.

Yeah, but this tourney produces a great champ more than any other, it’s almost always a great player.

Finch never won it, but Danny Willett did, and Len Mattiace almost won. But you can say that about any major, lots of "who was that again?" winners.

On the same topic, was Gay Brewer also a fluke winner, or did he have a real solid pro career? Even though he is from Lexington, I really never heard anything about his career other than he won the Masters in 1967.

Wiki says he had a top 10 in all of the majors and 10 wins. Not shabby.

Payne Stewart once played the par 3 contest in a tuxedo. RIP

And Jack's 15 yr old grandson knocks in his first hole in one! Man, if this par 3 is any indication of the week to come!

I like his chances too. He's played better at the Masters than most people think -- four top 10 finishes in the last four years.

If interested, The Masters has a great YouTube Channel. In the past month they have released the final round live television coverage from the last 50 YEARS.

You can watch the entire final round CBS broadcast from any year starting with 1968. Any particular year XXXX can be found by going to YouTube and searching for:

masters broadcast XXXX

I have skipped around the coverage of a few favorite years. I also went back and watched the Green Jacket ceremony from 1968 and was surprised at the dignified sportsmanship displayed by the golfers after the "incorrect scorecard". Rules of the Game. No whining.

:flushed:

My guess is that is not the first time that has happened to him. Finau is a really good basketball player. Have to think ankle injuries are not new to him. Still, pretty crazy he continued to play and assume is playing tomorrow. Especially for as hard as he swings and will transfer weight to it.

Watching replay from last year, man I don’t know how Sergio didn’t manage to choke that one away. Other than 15 he tried his damnedest.
