That's a surprising stat for only a 155 yd hole. Recently, number #16 has had hole-in-ones almost yearly.
Scheffler had an impressive finish yesterday, but there's a lot of golf left. We've seen 5 stroke leads vanish before at Augusta in a few holes on the Sunday back 9.

I’d take the 90 all day. Although I will say I got the chance to play pebble in 2017 and eagled number 2 which put me -1 for the round. Think I still shot close to 100 for the day but what a glorious round it was……
Nice comeback on 17 for Scheffler. Should be interesting tomorrow at least.

Still think Tiger’s got something in the tank. Wouldn’t have thought he could do what he’s done this weekend if you listened to his press conference two months ago. Glad he’s playing again.
Just left Augusta. Awesome experience. It was cold today and wind gusting all directions. That was a hard golf course in those conditions. Man that is a great event. Impressive…every aspect.
Won tickets for 2020 Weds Practice Round, after two years finally got to use them. A breakdown:
-Started on the road around 7am est Tuesday. Drove through some of the worst weather I've ever seen, tons of wrecks we luckily avoided on the way down on 75. Pulled into Top Golf (sim) outside of the Braves Stadium in Atlanta around 1:30 and waited it out there with many drinks (with a DD) until about 4.
-Rode into Augusta. Drove around to check out the sights, such as they are. Saw the Daly tent at Hoots, scoped out the parking. Dinner at a steakhouse, then down to the Stillwater Taproom downtown for several drinks.
- At the gate very early in the AM, parked, and into the merch tent knowing bad weather was coming. Afterwards, loaded up on pimento cheese and beer at roughly 8 am, and walked the course. Surreal is the only word. Very few groups or players we didn't see while zig zagging around. Course was just beyond words.
- Finish walking course around 11:30, almost immediately get the horn and the call to evacuate due to weather. After about 45 minutes we are let back in .
- Lucked into a great set up on the 9th green for the par 3, hooting and hollering at the caddies and family members firing in. Got a couple good hours in before the final storm came through and we got kicked out for good.
Was a bucket list thing for me. I think a return is now on that list. Just unreal.

Always enjoy going to Augusta. That said, it’s one of those deals where it’s better on practice round days to get your “Augusta feel” in and much better to watch the actual tournament on TV. Can say the same about any golf tournament.
If you really get into the actual tournament it’s just better on tv to keep up with the action all over the course.

I went the year that Willett won, and one day was very windy, no. 4 was one of the hardest par 3s I have ever seen, they had it set up at 240 into the wind, and only one guy made par there, we watched probably four threesomes play it. I couldn't break 120 if you gave me 5 tries.
Very true. Practice rounds are the best way to get the Masters experience and see the course. You are free to bring a camera, and players are relaxed and usually friendly.
During tournament rounds patrons are strictly forbidden to bring any electronics or cameras. You will be asked to leave if you are spotted with a phone. Conversation or social media that would interfere with other patrons or golfers is not allowed. It's like going back in time. If you need to contact someone during the tournament, you do it the old fashioned way:
I get why folks that would watch the Masters no matter what, might get irritated by "Tiger Central" coverage. But a LOT of people that are NOT avid watchers, well, he's the reason they're tuning in. It's pretty much a no****ing brainer to iso cover the most popular golfer since Arnold GD Palmer.
So IOW, GTF over it. It's a business...
Also, I've ragged on and denigrated him a LOT in the past, but the way he's battled the last 4 days is pretty damn remarkable IMO.
Seriously, watching him labor with his stride, to go in and sign his card, choked me up.
I hope he breaks Nicklaus' record. (however unlikely that may be)

Back in the day I lived in Atlanta. Via a business deal with Augusta National and knowing someone who was a member...was blessed to be there on 3 or 4 occasions. Not when the tournament was going on. Walked the course with just 2 guys. No others around. Unbelievable the calm, peaceful feeling.
Nice time for Scheffler to hit the shot of his life. That very well could give him the Green Jacket.
The only thing that will make this interesting is if Smith has a complete meltdown on the course. He looks like he could be headed that way.
Jean Van De Velde. Wouldn't trust him with this lead. Scheffler should be OK though.
Never been a Tiger fan, but like the way he gutted out his comeback from his self-inflicted wound. He should try shooting himself next & then come back.
It's going to take that kind of a melt down to make this interesting. He could 7 iron his way in now.
There is nothing like getting into the groove like Scheffler is today.
When I'm out there on the course, and just feeling as if the game is effortless. I can just TELL I'm going to shoot under 3 digits. Truly sublime experience to walk up to the green and KNOW that I'm going to 3 putt like a machine.[laughing]
