SM, I meant no disrespect to you when I posted that. I was in the National Guard, but my RESPECT FOR THOSE THAT SERVED IN ACTIVE DUTY IS OF HIGHEST HONOR!!!!
The NG does a great service for us. I for one appreciate them. After the Mayfield tornado they came and were a great help to those needing help. Also a group of mostly vets called Team Rubicon came to town and went house to house helping people cleaning downed trees and such from their yards.

Just an FYI it's my understanding the KRS moderators will moderate this free KSR board. It will be interesting to see what they allow and don't.
Thanks Debbie

I am thankful that we never had to be activated for anything like that, we did get called out one time, there was s patient at Outwood Hospital that went missing around the Tradewater River, didn't have a good ending!!!

The hall monitor had one in there too and guarantee that he had already alerted the mods.
Matt Jones has a post up regarding this. What you guys want to talk about isn't going to happen on the site anymore because it devolves into immaturity and name-calling (see your post above and FireWentOut's). I've said countless times to act like adults but many can't. Moderation is a free job and over the years free boards across the internet have shut down because people don't want to spend their lives moderating constant arguments between strangers. Adapt to the new climate or move on I guess.

I have a son in law who is a active helicopter pilot for the Active Guard Reserve.
Good stuff.

While in Iraq 2005-2006, I flew on UH-60s piloted and crewed by TN National Guard. Ran into a bunch of KY NG from Harlan and Middlesboro at Speicher, if I recall correctly. Heck, it's been 20 years.

Samoan NG were tough mofos. No indirect mortar/rocket fire while they patrolled AO around Balad AB.

Served with a Samoan while stationed at FT. Campbell in the early 80's. Went to Jungle Training school in 81 and was off one afternoon trying to knock some coconuts out of a tree with some big rocks. He took over saying that is not the way you do it and proceeded to climb the tree like it was nothing. Grabbed a view coconuts, threw them down, and showed me how to shuck them on a big rock. Guy was a big dude too.

Let it go, buddy. The obsession of me by a few of you was and still is bizarre. I had one poster on the old board follow me from thread to thread trying to pick online fights and probably quoted me 200 times hoping I'd respond. I'm not apologizing because our opinions may differ from time to time. Stop taking things so personally.

You quote me for this? Again, be an adult for once and stop trying to look for arguments all the time. I'm sorry you didn't get your way today. It's out of your hands. Accept it and move forward. I'm going to enjoy the board for what it is. Hope you're able to without the constant anger and such. Have a good night and a better tomorrow!

Im already a paid member, have been for years.

I'm just trying to figure the logic of nuking a thread with 820k+ posts. Not to mention the entire paddock, wildcat lair, etc.

That's clicks, ads, and eyeballs.

If I was the CEO, someone would be fired right about now.
If we're being real, no one outside of a handful on this site care about a thread being deleted so I'm glad you're not the CEO. Firing someone because you can no longer access a decade old thread that the same 15-20 people posted in daily is quite the dramatic move. Those posters clicking on the thread 200 times a day is what drove those numbers up. I had a feeling this was coming when we became a part of this site. The free-for-all version of the Paddock wasn't able to self-police itself and very few want to mod several boards at once. I don't love the move but I'm also not addicted to this site and addicted to a particular thread like a needle in the vein.

In one of my old units, Samoan soldier named Muala, = total stud. Freakish. Stood about 5'10. Thin but stout. He started on All-Army volleyball team. Went SD several times. One day during basketball game, he elevates blocking shots of 6'4-6'6 dudes and dunked on several. Amazing.
