Hello all,

I DO hope you are all well. I cannot explain in an open forum as to why I was away. If I can explain to my friends please message me and I will be happy to try explaining why I was away. For you all, I am thankful but I had my reasons.

Been on the prescription pricing merry-go-round the last few days but it ended well. I use an inhaler for my mild asthma I developed in recent years. Normal price has been $91 for one 125 puffs inhaler or $0.75 per puff ( I like to think of it that way.) After calling it in a few days ago, I went to Walgreens & first time they said $447. WTH? Come to find out the doc ordered 3 inhalers vs. previously ordering just one. OK, so that's down to $149. Still not right.

Then I remembered that for some reason, my drug plan price is less for the branded version over the generic one. So I asked W to check that out. Sure enough, price is $268 or $90 each. Apparently when I last ordered over phone, the prescription I had had expired at the end of 2025 & so W called the doc for a new one. W just told the doc the generic drug name, not the brand name and the doc didn't know better. So they came back to W with the generic name & filled it that way. So today I stared at 3 inhalers of the generic version in a plastic bag but have to wait till tomorrow for branded ones to come in. I started this early so no rush.

Some inconvenience, but a hoot watching the "system" work when it comes out right in the end. Exciting times, huh?

Heading for Kentucky tomorrow to help look after my dad. WIsh me luck over the WVA mountain passes. I've been making this drive for nearly 50 years, and I've had some hair-raising experiences in winter storms. I'm getting too old to dig out of a snowbank I skidded into, or walk/hitchhike to the next town to find a tow truck.

Morning D-Leaguers!

11° this morning with moderate winds. Yikes! Monster walk will be a monster. She is taking longer walks since the weather has turned colder. She loves it out there.

Hello from Campbell County folks. Stayed up last night with dad, who needs care during the nights. Watching his religious shows on TV now. He likes to watch Pastor Chuck Smith.

Very cold here. Air temp is minus 1 f. THe windchill is said to be minus 15. I'll take their word for it, and stay out of the wind.

Big test for the Cats tonight. To say I am experiencing a certain lack of confidence would be accurate, if understated.

Hope you all have a good day, at least up until tip off. Stay warm.

Woke up at 8 degrees this morning. Warmest in four or five days, but the high is only going to be 19. The parking lot at our church is impassable so this is the 2nd straight Sunday that services will be canceled. Looks like we finally get some relief on Monday. I hope Phil prognosticates an early spring. I’m ready.

Any one else have problems with this site asking you to wait because of problems? I can post typed messages (sometimes slowed) but I can't do pictures this morning and have that problem from time to time. When I leave this site, I don't have these problems on other sites. I have had this problem for a long time with this place.

The technical personnel in place are not higher level techs. Too many areas here that are just beneath normal website experiences. (May be counting their beans.)

I just contacted them asking them to update my membership to the 2005 time frame as it has been. They actually responded. Let's see what happens.

Edit;

Said I had to login again and join up with my bank info/ credit info. HA, I actually may do the one dollar join IF I can remove my payment information. We shall see shortly.

Stated the buck was for five days. I will pass and stay as I am,,,

Good morning folks.

What a great win for the Cats. It was like the old days for me —watching in our living room in Campbell County with dad and my brothers. Been doing that since the early 1960s, sometimes just Cawood on the radio, then black and white TV and so on.

Cal looked stunned in his postgame presser. That was satisfying.

Driving back to the east. Hoping not to encounter any snow. You all stay warm.
