While I have many types of lures, I mainly use plastics here that I can run weedless. Stick-O-Worms being my favorite but frogs and creatures also do well. It was a frog I caught today's bass on. I run weedless at Ft. Sill because the ponds there are very grassy. I did however throw a Whopper Plopper at them early on.

Yes, I do believe they are nesting which would explain the lack of hooked bass. I felt a few bumps along the way that usually happens when lures hit their nesting spots so, it would suggest that that is what is happening.

I am rather partial to flukes.......Bass Assassin in particular.....I have a bunch of them.......my friend uses a stick worm........he catches his share of fish......it has been so long since I've been....three years this spring......I hope to get her out soon....

I have a few flukes. White, Silver, Chartreuse, and orange, but have not done good with them in the past. It is probably just a fluke (pun intended) though and I am not fishing them correctly.

Biggest thing for me is that the Maverick has only been out about 4 years or so now and I am not sure that is a long enough test period to gauge reliability and Ford's commitment to service on them. I am leaning towards one, but the Ranger is tried and true for me (had one long ago and it was great) and gets good reviews for the most part.

Owned a 5-speed Mazda 2500 (Ford Ranger) from 2000-2010. Purchased new in FL while vacationing during my last year on active duty. Never experienced any problems.

When I was in my business, I had a 1990 F-150 XLT Lariat (Standard shift) that I absolutely loved. I sold that truck just after I sold my business and when we went to Korea in mid 2012. I bought the Ranger just before I got the job in Korea.

Been arguing this morning with the "energy" company here. They had computer issues but the tech told me they were not. After she transfered me to the tech department, they said thank you Mr. L. Oh well,

Took me about an hour on the phone.

Getting ready to leave about 12:30 to take My Darling to her procedure. Have to pick up the BB early from school. My daughter works in a job for the Army (A Nurse.) She needs to be present today for their needs with all the transitions due to the step-up with Iran items. (Many military medical field people were given the opportunity to volunteer to deploy and several took it.

We can sure do our part.

The Director had a Ford Escape for several years. I was only in the vehicle twice. There was something about the height that tweaked my bad back when I would get out of it. We gave it to our daughter and it only had 35K miles and bought the Director a Ford Explorer........

Hello all,

Geting back home finally after a semi-long day. My Darling made it through better than I did. I shed more tears anyway BUT, I am thankful for that. I can stand a whole lot but I cannot stand seeing My Darling going through pain. All good so far but she has about a weeks recoup time. Goes the 18th to get the stitches out.

Has another appointment the 17th though and this one will be telling. (Back issues, ruled out the hip except for very slight bursitus (I guess that is how it is spelled.)... Have an off-day planned for tomorrow. Just taking an old sectional couch down my youngesst daughters stairs, unclogging one drain. Then going to my other daughters house and installing the final of two toilet guts. Received the parts for this one today. (My granddaughter told my oldesst, Papa can fix anything... (That is my oldesst daughters way of keeping me working and fixing things.)...Then I have to fix one of her cabinet drawers that just decided to ..............fall apart. (Seriously) the cabinets are only about three years old if that. (No warranty but nice looking cabinets.)

I cannot decide if I will try using glue or using some very small screws to keep it together. I was leaning toward screws but am now thinking about glue as that would only cause tying the drawer together for a day for the glue to dry versus drilling pilot holes (about 8 for some very small screws) into new type cabinets...

I typed a lot but got it out of my system that way...

Other than that, things have been slow.

Good morning folks. Back below freezing here in the east. Ugh. Packing on some layers for a run.

Fun game yesterday. This isn’t a classic Kentucky team, but they kept their heads when Missouri went on a late run and made winning plays. We have fans who can’t even enjoy a Cats win, at least if you believe some of the Rafters riff raff are fans and not trolls. (I have my doubts.) When I can’t enjoy a win anymore, I hope I have enough sense to spent my time on something else.

With this team who knows what will happen today. But, with a win today we'll start to get noticed again. At the very least I get to watch another game this week.

I really don't think there are many "trolls" on RR. There are just a lot of negative people and they want desperately to have company in their misery. Stay as far away as possible from those types.

Tell me I am wrong, but we just got out muscled yesterday and being tired did not help. Still, Florida is legit and were swarming like a hive of bees yesterday.

On a happy note, the US defeated Canada (again), only this time in the WBC (World Baseball Classic). It was closer however than I would have like. In the 7th, the US was up 5-3 and Canada was at bat with 2 on (second and third) no outs. Two strike outs and a line drive out salvaged the inning. Mason Miller closer for the Padres came in in the 9th and closed the deal. Miller was bringing the heat with the first pitch 101mph and then altered pitches with 80's and then 102mph every other pitch or so.

The USA faces the Dominican team Sunday night at 7pm central on Fox.

Going fishing this morning after walking the monster so, you folks relax and enjoy the day and may God Bless you.

Cats managed to play bad enough to lose to a Florida team probably playing its worse game since November. This team is flawed, average at best and poorly coached. I think it’ll take a miracle for Pope to amass the talent to return to Kentucky standards. He just hasn’t created an atmosphere that the best freshmen or portal players want to be part of. And he’s not a swaggering, charismatic figure. Nice guy. Not inspiring.

Hello all,

Waiting on a furniture delivery so I can setup my youngest daughter’s new couch. I fixed the BBs bathroom sink. Had to modify the new drain bar under the sink that goes into the drain pipe by cutting off nearly an inch due to the way the sink was built. (One of those nearly stand alone sinks but built with hardwood.) Had the person that installed the sink done that, it may still be working. Oh well, Papa cares. Had a metal blade but no hacksaw in my tool box. It took forever to saw that eighth or so inch piece of rod in half. It WAS stainless steel. I have a paper towel underneath all to check for leaks for a couple days. Yeah I typed it out of my system again.

Have a fine afternoon. I think My Darling wants to go to Annandale to grocery shop,so, …we will.

Well, more of the same. Went to Natches (Pond) at Ft Sill and it was 40° when I got there so still a little cold for the fish. Game warden showed up just as I was suiting up (Waders) and we talked for about 30 minutes. I see this guy out there about half the time I go so, he never needs to see my license. Knows me by name and that I am always up to date. Also went to LETRA (Lake Elmer Thomas Recreational Area). Only one bite but did not sink the hook so it was a draw today.

The BB is starting out better now; Fixed, replaced, and cleaned "dem" drain guts...

Then took My Darling grocery shopping. Stopped at a place and had some of these too...

Back home now and unscrewing the top of a Yuengling. Had to take a Tylenol earlier but I may partake of TWO Yuenglings today...

Selection Sunday. It ain’t what it used to be. But I suppose I’m feel a little excitement waiting to see who the Cats draw. Hard to imagine a bracket where they get out of the first weekend. That’d likely mean beating a #2 seed, and more of them look ready to fall to this Cats team. But hey, if Calipari can lose with Kentucky to St Peter’s and Oakland in a three year span, maybe there’s a coach out there to lose to Kentucky.
