Why would the mayor of DC have to issue a state of emergency because President Trump was holding a gathering up the street?....never in my wildest dreams would what was seen on 1/6 be expected...imo

Time to get down boogie. We have been told for a couple of years that white supremacy is the greatest threat facing our nation so you should have expected it. Can’t have your cake and eat it too

Lol. Supposedly, the FBI had intelligence that there was going to be violence at the capitol. This being the case, with the country's most important officials all being there at the same time, they would have wanted more security and a stronger barrier. Declaring a state of emergency would have opened up resources for extra security and emergency construction of a barrier that would have protected against a breach of the capitol. It's really not hard to see that for whatever reasons, not only did they fail to provide suitable protection, they apparently assisted in the breach of the capitol.

Don't worry Ghost. Sweet Nancy has a committee that's going to get to the bottom of all of it.

Another couple of months? What happened to flattening the curve? Oh wait that was 15 months ago. Done fell for that once.
Actually, no, conservatives have been fighting against even the voluntary wearing of masks since April of 2020. Only shutdowns, mask mandates, and vaccines have helped flatten curves, and now we're seeing numbers increase again b/c people -- mainly the same conservatives -- got impatient and rushed to return to a normal that wasn't working for many to begin with.

SPOT ON. This is also TRUE:
You comply because you want it to end.
But because you comply, it may never end.

A rant by a guy on the street impresses y'all. I can't make this up.
Everything he says is anecdotal. Nothing is sourced or factual. Yet I'm the emotional one. lol

White supremacy policing is a fallacy. Especially when you claim that George Floyd's death was a result of white supremacy.
Can you tell me what **I** mean when I use the term "white supremacy" -- how **I** would define it?

You should have taken my offer and stepped out of the thread for a while. This part is just so awful.
A lesson to many that one can be educated, yet have little to no intelligence.
Oh, no! When do you unleash the Kraken?
I see you have the usual suspects backing up your Jeff Foxworthy impression. You go, you!

Your ideology is the problem with race relations. Nothing you say or repeat improves any relations, let alone racial. It's divisive, non factual and does nothing but cultivate victimhood and false prophecy.
I have no interest in what conservatives call "race relations" if it doesn't center justice. And I'm White, you're White -- if anything I say to you negatively affects your relationship with other races, that's on you.
We are already divided and going division is due to resistance to justice by conservatives.

I was talking to @GhostOf301 , unless I did something wrong with the quote function. I'm on record saying he has more potential than any other conservative here. That designation has to go to someone, doesn't it? By definition, then, every other conservative has less. By virtue of a momentary connection and sign of decency a few pages back, I guess I'd have to give you 2nd place, if that makes you feel any better, but it's pretty relative.

This conservative has said from the beginning that if wearing a mask makes you feel comfortable, then do so. If someone else not wearing a mask makes you uncomfortable, stay away from them. I haven't heard or seen a single person say they were against voluntary mask wearing.

Your comments here are nothing but subjective opinions that you are delivering as facts without an ounce of solid science to back it up. Tell us again how lockdowns work. Tell us why there is no difference in the spread with or without masks. I agree that there is enough evidence that shows that the vaccines are working and IMO, people should get them. But rising cases is only a small part of the story. Mutated variants are weaker and more contagious. They also become more resistant to vaccines, though the vaccines help with the effects.

Correct. Never been against masks but against mandates and pretending the masks are more effective than they are No doctor is going to walk in the ER with one of these ****** Kmart masks and act like it’s all good. Seriously ?

That all makes sense, but again, its almost to me still unimaginable what ultimately transpired...yeah a ruckus outside, some whooping and hollering, but what happened, I don't think could've been expected 🤷🏽‍♂️

And the numbers/data back this up. All a person has to do is go and look at the actual data and you see the vaccines are effective, and the same groups who were at risk from the beginning are the same groups at risk now and will be forever (if they do not get vaccinated).

I meant that they refused to wear masks voluntarily. And they've been calling people who do "sheeple" the whole time, too.

Masks absolutely help the individual minimize the risk of spreading it. Why else do people cover their mouths when they cough?

So you acknowledge that the right masks worn correctly help?
Should it be mandated that doctors wear masks?

The 99% of masks worn do little to nothing. Yes, a N95 form fitted to your face, worn once works. Outside of that, there is little to no data out there that says it is anything but minimal at best. The same Mask you And i keep reusing in our glove compartments are more of a hindrance than a helpful solution at minimizing the spread Of an airborne virus.

Doctors wear the correct masks and dispose them after every time they touch them. The masks that you think protect us are not effective at stopping the droplets that carry covid. It's a false sense of security that causes more health problems than it prevents. That's why you don't see a difference at all in covid cases between people who wear masks and people who don't.

Also, dattier. If masks (even the ones that doctors wear) were effective against covid, how come scientists and doctors who are around covid wear full protective gear and not just a mask? Do you think it is logical to expect a country of 330million to be able to wear N95 masks properly and dispose of them accordingly? We're 18 months into this and we still don't have the supply for a fraction of our population, let alone the world.

This might be a stupid question. But how does the virus mutate? Is it from the vaccine that caused it to !? I’m thinking like resident evil type ****😂

I’m still all for just staying the hell away from people and keep your hands clean and it being just as effective as a vaccine (that people are still catching the virus) or a mask (which IMO is 100% useless) and like somebody said “a false sense of security that you’re steadily breathing, spitting in, nose running, and reusing, touching this and that after. Ect. Pshh fart Both actually give a false sense of security. Well did anyway.

There is a reason I didn't bother with that silly question. Not all contagions are the same. You know that. The droplets you produce when infectious with covid are so small, even covering your mouth when you cough will have little effect. Droplets from regular germs are much bigger, less airborne and heavier than that of more contagious airborne viruses. So to answer your silly, irrelevant question. We cover our mouths when we cough as a basic courtesy to others so we limit the amount of germs we spread. If we're sick, we should avoid being around people because covering our mouths when we cough would only be a minor form of protection for others.

and you sheep (liberals) wonder why many don’t trust these rats.
Do as I say, not as I do.

Not just do as I say, not as I do. But if they truly believed that masks save lives, they shouldn't have issues complying with their own mandates.

So how, exactly, did we ever flatten any curves?

You would need to isolate for behavior to say whether spread among mask wearers and non-wearers indicates causation.

And I'm going to need to see receipts on all of this. I'll go w/ the CDC on this one.
