Probably not , but is that the real issue? Or it the mainstream media’s tendency to treat white males one way and all other groups another.
I think that is pretty much the only issue. We have all been told how to protect ourselves and a number of events have acted on that. That makes them safer than when no safety protocols are in place. Really, KD! How hard is that to understand? As for white males, seriously? I would bet that the stadiums for the football games are full of white males.

Why do you defend these clowns like it's your job?

It's a pretty clear and unchallengable point. They are around the same people without wearing masks when they don't know whether or not they are on camera. But put their masks on when they KNOW they are on camera. It is all for show. Public health has nothing to do with it. This kind of stuff should make everyone stop and think. But we have a society that blindly supports their team no matter how obvious it is that they are laughing right in our faces.
[/QUOTE]
I am not necessarily defending them, although quite frankly it was just Pelosi talking with someone. Do you know who that person was? Perhaps an aide with whom she works closely, in which case there was no need to put a mask on. It may be that she should have had her mask on, but the crap that Mac posts as proof is half-baked nonsense with no context whatsoever. I plan to point that out.

Nobody should have had their masks on. They know that. Masks are a political tool designed to divide society. When they wear them, it's not for their safety or anyone else's. It is for show. How this isn't obvious by now is beyond words.

Complete nonsense. We have gone round this a number of times. you feel your way and I feel mine. I also wonder why it is not obvious to you that the masks work. So I guess we are at a draw.

Masks “work” without a doubt if your aim is to establish that you are not “ one of them” or if you enjoy participating in a daily production of covid theater. However, if your goal is to actually prevent the transmission of a virus this is where things become much less clear

Not a huge fan of the Atlantic but they do produce some good journalism every now and then. This one was very interesting...

A sample: For two separate studies published in May, doctors in California read through several hundred charts of pediatric patients, one by one, to figure out why, exactly, each COVID-positive child had been admitted to the hospital. Did they need treatment for COVID, or was there some other reason for admission, like cancer treatment or a psychiatric episode, and the COVID diagnosis was merely incidental? According to the researchers, 40 to 45 percent of the hospitalizations that they examined were for patients in the latter group.

We have the CDC, funded in the billions and with 41,000 employees, yet they cannot produce definitive studies to help us it seems...they devoted more to the study of aging last year than to the study of Covid...its either incompetence or its deliberate...or since they are a government agency it could be both

I read that this morning as well. It was often suspected but I’m glad studies were done that showed what is actually going on in many places.

You’re also spot on about the CDC. Some of these studies and many questions people have should be pretty easy for them to find. Instead, we see what huge bureaucracy is all about.

Harvard Tufts and the VA after studies of thousands of actual charts concluded that over half the reported Covid hospitalizations entered the hospitals for other reasons and tested positive for Covid with only mild symptoms

Meanwhile, because of this president's incompetence and inept leadership, 15,000+ Americans have died just this month.

Liberal districts have the most impoverished areas in the country. Yet the politicians live in big *** houses, wear expensive *** clothes, pay ridiculous amounts of money to get their hair did, attend parties that only the richest of the rich attend and yet half this country believes they give a **** about the poor.

They're laughing right in our faces, people. Because they think we are stupid. A supposed 81 million people gave them a reason to believe that. Good job libs.

Do you not see anything hypocritical or tone deaf by her attending a party that cost $30k to attend while preaching about inequality? Whether SHE paid that or not. It's disingenuous pandering.
i think that was her whole point...to hobnob w/ some elites while getting her message across through the dress????

You really have no clue. There's no rational person, if given the facts, that should come to the conclusion you just did. Are you aware she makes $180,000 a year, and is dumb as a bag of hammers?
no clue about what Mr. All You Do Is Throw Insults At People....i refused to stoop and waddle w/ you.......so what she makes 180k as a US Congresswoman and what you think of her is irrelevant ...she took advantage to be at an event for free, free dress, and w/ an explicit message that all there had to take notice of whether she said a word or not....and the comment you quoted was to topps question about how much do you think the dress cost

The issue is you’re just like the other libs. You blindly follow your party, and will make up excuses for what they do. It’s ONLY because she’s a democrat is why you aren’t being critical. What she did is hypocrisy at the highest level.

I’m sorry, but your refusal to see this is almost as bad as her actions. And Topps is right, if someone else paid for the dress, and for her to be there, they will expect their back to get scratched in return.

Lol. There would be calls for impeachment if a republican accepted a $30K gift. Aside from that, your blind loyalty is cringe worthy. I would expect that most people would at least question the ethics here. But nah, dems can't do wrong. They all have the best intentions and are looking out for the poors. Except the ones they step over in the streets of their districts on the way home to their gated communities and their $20,000 refrigerators.

Designers buy tables and invite celebrities to showcase their designs. Politicians are celebrities. Politicians make appearances at all kinds of events where their presence is worth the price of admission. AOC was doing the designer a favor.

No, on second thought, I don’t.
