My middle kid is a senior this year. 2 of her 4 classes this semester don't have teachers. It has been that was throughout high school for her. We have a growing teacher shortage across NC. NC ranks dead last -- 52nd place, behind DC and Puerto Rico, too -- among states to work in based on wages and worker rights.
