Again, I don’t know anything about Whitlock. So forgive me for not knowing. But does he continually make falsified claims that black people are being hunted in the streets? Is he outspoken on issues involving black people being killed by police no matter what the situation is? His comment went directly to the ignorance being spewed by Lebron and questioned (rightfully so) Lebron's actual compassion for black lives. Lebron said he is tired of black people being killed by police. You would think that a man with such a heart filled with grief, he would also be tired of black children being killed by blacl citizens. But he doesn't have anything to gain by speaking up against violence within the black community. That doesn't get him the attention he so desperately seeks. Whitlock called him out for his selective outrage and his ignorance on the subject of black people being killed by police. No matter how hard you try to make him a hypocrite for doing so, it doesn't work.I get that. Whitlock stated that LeBron doesn't care about Black people dying because he hadn't said anything about Jaslyn Adams being murdered. Prior to that, Whitlock had not said anything about Adams being murdered, either.
If the lack of comment shows LeBron doesn't care about Blacks dying, doesn't it also mean Whitlock not commenting on her murder mean the same thing?
I'm not blaming Whitlock for what LeBron said. I'm applying the same logic to Whitlock that Whitlock applied to LeBron.
I'm not sure why you don't understand the point.
White/black....black/white...black/black...white/white..and etc....is all the fabric of society....been killed at a higher incidence by the ones that are sworn to protect and serve is a differenceAgain, I don’t know anything about Whitlock. My brother in law is a cop and tells it pretty much the same way. I honestly believe, if you are pulled over by a cop, act cordial, cooperate, do what you are told, you will not be harmed. I doubt anyone here can come up with a case, video, body cam, whatever, where a guy was saying yes sir, no sir, and was being fully cooperative that got harmed. I also thinks its kinda peculiar that people who speak out against cops, still use them for escorts and protection. Looking at you MaxineAnybody have the percent of homocides that are committed by black males and what percentage they are of the population. This should be our concern. Why do those that yell about police violence never utter a word about these young men committing genocide in their own community. I work with at risk youth and my concern is trying to help them not end up at the wrong end of the barrel. I had a senior citizen African American speak with my kids. They spoke about how they had disputes when they were young, and yes there were some fists thrown at times. It was never a thought to shoot the other person. There is no way to take the bullet back.
We also had a patrol man speak with them. He said the issue they are running into is that situations are going from 0-100 in a matter of seconds. As soon as he arrives at the scene now he is already being verbally assaulted with no idea where it may end up. He said he would love to have a night where there are no calls. Sitting in the car or the office until time to head to the house. A night where everybody goes home safe.
He said it has gotten to the point that when they make traffic stops and there is a passenger in the car, the passengers have getting out saying this has nothing to do with me and start walking away. Like he said, this may be a gang banger they are trying to get off the streets to make towns and cities a little safer. He said that it only helps everybody if you will give them a chance assess the situation. If nothing is going on, everybody is heading their own way safely maybe with a ticket but most of the time a warning if it is a traffic situation, but again that goes back to things going from 0-100 in seconds.
My kids asked about being handcuffed. Like he told them, it doesn't mean you are going to jail. It helps create a safe scene for all involved while the facts are being gathered. No issues and the cuffs are off and you are headed on your way. Now he told them if warrants show up then there is a good chance they are taking a ride, but they have to remember that this means there has been some kind of issue with the law before.
It really was a great talk and kids came out of it with some great insight and it sparked some great conversation.

Perhaps it is time to change doctors, then
Based on what, exactly? The cdc? Fauci? The subjective, short term/incomplete studies that are inconclusive at best? Or the 40+ years of studies showing that non-PPE masks are useless in civilian settings? I get it, you’re a simpleton who clings to a “party”, but stop exposing your idiocy like this. Do your own homework.Perhaps it is time to change doctors, then
You know calling someone stupid and lazy is not necessarily the best way to convince that person that he/she is wrong. You are also dead wrong that I have not done my own homework. And no, i do simply rely on Fauci or the CDC. In fact once the Trump administration dictated what the CDC could say, I have almost discounted them entirely. From what I have seen you are on the wrong side of the science.Based on what, exactly? The cdc? Fauci? The subjective, short term/incomplete studies that are inconclusive at best? Do you have anything to contribute other than insults?Libs love to say "wrong side of history", "wrong side of science". As if they've gotten any damned thing right. Lol. The narcissism that the libs carry would be funny if it weren't frighteningly sad.
I guess the answer is no.I do find it interesting that you first gave me a hard time for not taking much of a hiatus and now are criticizing me for running off. Which is it?Lol. The lady who only regurgitates sensationalized talking points from the left, tucks tail and runs when she has no original rebuttal is talking about contributions. The narcissism continues.
Oh, you don't go anywhere. You just refuse to address actual points of conversations. Your responses are much like your outrage. Very selective and non existent when you have no answer.I guess the answer is no.I do find it interesting that you first gave me a hard time for not taking much of a hiatus and now are criticizing me for running off. I doubt you would know a fact if it jumped up and bit you in the face. But, whatever. When I told Fourteen I thought he was on the wrong side of science, it was because I had read articles on a number of legitimate sites that discussed the efficacy of properly fitted masks in stemming the transmission of the virus.Oh, you don't go anywhere. Since you've read some articles, we'll accept that you are on the right side of science. And just ignore the actual data and trends that severely contradict said science.I doubt you would know a fact if it jumped up and bit you in the face. But, whatever. When I told Fourteen I thought he was on the wrong side of science, it was because I had read articles on a number of legitimate sites that discussed the efficacy of properly fitted masks in stemming the transmission of the virus.
Yet your response to me when I told you that my three Doctors who are very good was that I should switch Doctors. You reference Fauci who had consistently flip flopped or been wrong at every turn as the final authority .To my knowledge and correct me if I am wrong had not treated a single Covid patient yet science is on his sideI doubt you would know a fact if it jumped up and bit you in the face. What I responded to Fourteen is that i had not simply relied on Fauci. Nothing about that answer suggests that I doubt his data. You are also incorrect about his treatment of covid patients. In fact, he continued to see patients suffering from the virus even as he was trying to educate our former President. As for the flip flop, beyond his early statements dismissing the efficacy of masks, are there other recommendations that he has changed his opinion on?Yet your response to me when I told you that my three Doctors who are very good was that I should switch Doctors. You reference Fauci who had consistently flip flopped or been wrong at every turn as the final authority .To my knowledge and correct me if I am wrong had not treated a single Covid patient yet science is on his side
Nice subjective reply, well done. You know calling someone stupid and lazy is not necessarily the best way to convince that person that he/she is wrong. Hardly. But if it makes you happy to think that, rock on.@durhamgolfer is getting beaten like a drum in this thread. Wow!
Very much so. You try to refute clinical science with feelings. It’s goldenHardly. But if it makes you happy to think that, rock on.
Feelings is science. If you don't care about feelings, you're on the wrong side of science.Very much so. You try to refute clinical science with feelings. It’s golden![]()
Right. I guess reading scientific articles on the efficacy of masks is tantamount to feelings.Very much so. You try to refute clinical science with feelings. It’s golden![]()
Well since Fourteen just told me I am relying on feelings, then, under your definition I am on the right side of science. Glad to see you are coming around. ThanksFeelings is science. If you don't care about feelings, you're on the wrong side of science.
Which scientific articles? The subjective ones that have inconclusive data over less than 12 months? Or the 40+ that have shown time and time again that masks are ineffective in civilian setting? Nice try, Susan.Right. I guess reading scientific articles on the efficacy of masks is tantamount to feelings.
You’ve got the name wrong. And even if you didn’t it is completely inappropriate to use someone’s real name when they have chosen not to.Which scientific articles? The subjective ones that have inconclusive data over less than 12 months? Or the 40+ that have shown time and time again that masks are ineffective in civilian setting? Nice try, Susan.
It is past time that little cricket goes on somewhere. Never has there been anyone so consistently wrong, yet so loved by so many. Libs just eat him up. Only weathermen are wrong more and still keep their jobs.
