Dattier what I would like for you to acknowledge which we all know to be true is that there were certain points in his life: getting into Ivy League schools (twice) being elected President (twice) when the fact that Obama had a Black father actually helped him? As a teacher I’m sure you’re aware of the Grand Canyon size achievement gap especially when standardized tests are involved and teachers can’t give grades based on feelings. As topps coach has noted I feel sorry for your students especially the white ones Something tells me they’re getting the short end of the stick

Exactly!!!....have your opinions about his politics, policies, and such...have at it....but why question his academic achievements when there is no reason...his merits helped him into one and best believe he had plenty of eyeballs on him.....how he performed and achieved in one helped with the other...and he definitely didn't have daddy's money or a phone call to pave his way

Biographer David Maraniss notes that Obama claimed to be a B-plus student at Occidental College–roughly a 3.3 GPA. His GPA at Columbia was reportedly 3.7, and so his combined GPA was near 3.5.
Since there was never an official release, not sure why, this seems to be the one source ...an Obama biographer ( quite well-credentialed if you look him up) who you would think would only cite researched results...but who knows these days. The scores would be slightly above average for a college student.

Barack Obama has a very compelling life story, having lived all over the place. After transferring from Occidental, which I'd never even heard of, his GPA actually went up considerably at another Ivy. And then he worked as a community organizer in Chicago for 3 years. And there's that compelling life story and academic potential when it comes time to apply to Harvard Law. It's not hard to believe at all unless you're predetermined to hate the man. Once there, he was elected President of the Law Review.
You'd rather believe in a mass conspiracy theory involving 3 different schools, Chicago unions, and Harvard Law Review than to accept that a President you despise was 100X the self-made man President Trump ever was.
Here's some well-sourced fact check info on the lies conservatives believe about President Obama's education: Graduated magna *** laude from Harvard Law in '91, and called "the most impressive student I had ever taught." But he's Black, so it must be affirmative action.

Just asking questions. You yourself said you’d never heard of Occidental College and after pulling average grades there he winds up in the Ivy Leagues. Not a normal trajectory for most white people I know. It’s obvious listening to the guy that he has a substantial iq His bounce from an unknown college to an Ivy puzzles me. You’re in education. You know this is not the norm. My cousin dropped out of Northwestern but got his sh— together a few years later and was told by the ivies and Vanderbilts of the world no way Jose. I realize Obama didn’t drop out but still…

A quick Google search reveals that Occidental is one of the so-called "West Coast Ivies." Seems pretty reasonable that someone with a 3.3 GPA, a compelling life story, and loads of potential could transfer to Columbia. Seems pretty reasonable that after doing even better there and doing organizing work in Chicago, he could get into Harvard Law.
Obama’s college days, and what his gpa was, means nothing. We have real problems, like Biden is the President, Covid, Afghanistan, and now the hurricane in Louisiana.

Oh, and just for your edification, Obama's records were not sealed. They are privacy protected by federal law that states they can only be released with the student's consent. Other presidents did not consent to the release of their records as well.
Sos it is ok for them to risk their lives to help Americans but we can't help them out by letting them into our country. And not all Muslims are hate mongers, although given the religious right in this country, they could all sit together and soap each other over their hatred of many Americans.
