Not that Republicans are great, but the other side? They have NO solutions, nor do they care. This interview is typical of DemoRats, and O’Reilly is spot on.

Election Day is finally here.

When Trump ran for office in 2024, he promised to end the forever wars and focus on bringing prices down for Americans. Instead, he started a new forever war and imposed tariffs, which have led to painful price increases on everyday goods and record prices at the gas pumps.

He’s also refused to release the Epstein files, despite making their release a cornerstone of his campaign. He chose instead to protect himself and his pedophile friends. He even moved convicted child predator Ghislaine Maxwell to a minimum security prison in violation of federal protocol to buy her continued silence. Meanwhile, he, his family, and his friends have become fantastically rich through a litany of corruption schemes, many involving the same sectors of the economy where regular Americans are experiencing so much financial pain.

Donald Trump doesn’t care about the American people. He doesn’t care about the Republican Party. He doesn’t even care about his MAGA cult members, like @Mac9192. He looks down on them. He loathes them. To him, they’re nothing more than a means to an end, helping him to loot the American people and to shield him from the consequences of his many crimes. History will remember him as a stain on this country, a dark chapter of history, and future generations will wonder how so many gullible people fell for his blatantly obvious lies.

For the past decade, the Republican Party and its leadership have done nothing to stop his blatant corruption. They have endorsed it and, in many cases, profited from it themselves. They have completely ceded the power of the legislative branch and refused to provide any checks on the lawless president and his corrupt administration. Their actions show that the Republican Party is not fit to govern. They do not deserve power or your vote.

While Trump is not technically on the ballot today, make no mistake. Tonight is a referendum on his presidency and the MAGA movement. It is a referendum on his Republican enablers, whose only legislative accomplishment was passing a massive tax cut for billionaires at the expense of everyone else, an achievement they tout as their signature. It is a referendum on the cruelty this administration embodies, including the American citizens they’ve murdered in our streets. It is a chance for the American people to say, “Enough is enough.” A chance to plot a new direction for the country.

Tonight marks the beginning of the end for president and his cult.

Absolutely amazing night last night. We witnessed the complete repudiation of Donald Trump, MAGA, and the Republican Party. The corruption, the incompetence, the overt racism in their campaign ads, and a litany of other issues were too much for the American people, who finally and loudly said, “Enough is enough.”

I look forward to the knives coming out on the right after this. And there’s only one person to blame. All of Trump’s handpicked candidates not only lost, but lost so soundly that they dragged state level Democrats to victory as well. There’s no way any Republican who wants any kind of future in politics can stay with Trump. This is the end of the MAGA coalition and of Donald Trump as a major political figure in this country. I hope this experience and the next two years are exceptionally terrible for him, his family, and his supporters as his many crimes are exposed. You were warned.

That’s enough about the losers, though. The Democrats won every single swing Senate contest last night. As I said before, this was a young, extremely talented crop of Senate candidates, and they proved that last night. Fifty six seats looks likely at this point. Democrats will also hold more than 250 seats in the House, along with all the investigative powers that come with it. If you’re connected in any way, shape, or form to the Trump administration, it’s time to lawyer up.

So what’s the path forward? First, I would be very surprised if Justices Thomas and Alito do not immediately announce their retirements so that Republicans can appoint their replacements in the lame duck session. This is unavoidable, unfortunately, but I think the Democrats should make it crystal clear that if Republicans take that path, Supreme Court reform will be a top priority for the incoming majority, with everything on the table, including court expansion, term limits, and actual ethics laws they have to follow.

From a legislative perspective, Democrats must pass laws over the next two years, even if Trump is able to veto them. In my opinion, this should include cutting off all funding for the Iran war. Pass laws eliminating the tariffs and the president’s ability to impose them. Pass AI and data center regulation, and hold the tech oligarchs who threw in with Trump accountable for all the terrible things they’ve unleashed on this country. Pass new tax laws that take the burden off the poor and middle class and force those same tech oligarchs to pay their fair share. Republicans will be under intense pressure over the next two years, so some of these laws may actually get through. Even if they don’t, due to vetoes or whatever, you are setting the table for the future. This is the first part of the blue wave. The second half will land in 2028. The voters have sent a crystal clear message to Democrats, and they have a mandate to end the Trump presidency.

There is so much more to write about this and the possibilities in 28, but I’ll stop here for now. This is a great day for this country. This is a great day for our allies around the world. And this is a great day for democracy. Hard times are ahead with Trump’s destruction of the U.S. and the world’s economy, but for today, a new era is starting, and hope springs eternal.

some people need to be held to account for their actions/behavior, but the primary focus should be much of what you laid out above, common sense legislation w/ the primary focus on the people and not the minute few

Some of you need to remember that Trump became prominent due to people being tired of politicians. Now the tables turned, and the radical left did the same to him as the right wingers did to Hilary in 2016.

The left could have put a monkey on the ballot, and they'd have still won. We probably would be better off with a monkey though than some of these clowns. Especially that yahoo from Michigan.

But then again, the bar for politicians is very low.
