Wouldn't it be the USS Oklahoma City??? I thought subs were named after cities and battleships were named after states????

Whelp, should have read the article as it states they were named for the lost battleships at Pearl.

We aren’t building any more battlewagons either, so makes sense to transition the tradition to subs.

It’s a nice tribute to the 2 ships that in total accounted for nearly 2/3 of the KIA at Pearl Harbor.
