I know, I don't do change well, but so far I'm unimpressed.

And, I also know that these things take a little bit of time to work out the bugs.

But...!
The first thing I needed to see was the 2017 master football schedule. After a few clicks here, and a few clicks there, I found the 2016 master schedule. Nowhere to be found was the 2017 schedule

I'll give them time.

I got to the 2017 master schedule all right. But there are currently no active links for classification info or the record book, and that concerns me, because I used to refer to all of those pages a lot.

The only classification info that I could find so far is an alphabetical listing of schools, that does show each school's class, region, district, and ADM numbers. However, there is no comprehensive list of the regions and all the schools therein; the similar list of districts is also missing. All of that info was on the old website.

How long do we give them before we email to complain? I see no graphics saying "Site Under Construction" or anything of the like.

Danny's contact at the VHSL told him it is a work in progress. I'd say give them until the 15th before we really start to fuss. But, I see no reason to wait on contacting with a "how to" question.

If you found the same classification chart I did, you can click on a header title to change it to display by class, or region, or district, etc.

The record book is under "About the VHSL", There is a rotating banner at the bottom of the page that shows the icon for the link. I'm sure it's under a list somewhere, but that is where I found it first.

No sir, I don't see where that is of much use either. You did see where you could first click on "class" to align by class, then click "Region" and it gets the list a little more useful? I still liked the chart in the old format much better.

I first found that "alignment" link when I checked out the site on my phone. It is slightly more useful on the full desktop version, but not much. Fortunately I had printed out the finalized regional and district schemes.

The link to the record book in the site worked fine on the desktop. When I tried to access it on my phone, nothing came up. The one you supplied worked on my phone, too.

And by the way - all of their historical info is riddled with errors. Last night I checked out the 2016 football program. In just the info that pertains to Salem, I found at least half a dozen errors in just a couple of minutes scanning. They referred to us as "Salem - Va. Beach" in the 1986 title game against Hampton, and had the score of that game wrong. Along with other mistakes. Hard to say how many mistakes are in the whole thing.

One last thing - if anyone from the VHSL is reading this, I will make a $100 donation to your organization if you delete all references to some school called "Salem - Salem". No such place exists. There is "Salem", which opened in 1977 and refers to a city, and there is "Salem ( Va. Beach)", which opened fifteen years later and is named for a residential area. If you want to differentiate the two, just add a "VB", like so: Salem (VB). It really isn't that complicated. Rant over. And I'm dead serious about the $100.

And if you are still listening VHSL, how about a link to your webmaster so errors like what Spartan found can be quickly and efficiently brought to to someone's attention.

That Salem VB error in the '86 championship game is rather irksome, considering that school didn’t exist until '89.
