The NBA playoffs are underway! Love this time of year....three weeks of the NCAAT, then The Masters, followed by two months of great playoff basketball.

Can anyone beat the Warriors? I don't think so, but I think the Spurs can put a scare into them.

I have the Warriors beating the Cavs in five for the title.

The Celtics have a fun team. I was hoping they could complete the comeback and steal game one. Atlanta played like veteran teams are supposed to down the stretch, though.

Paul George was a monster today. Very happy for him and his comeback after sustaining that serious injury while playing for Team USA.

And Curry questionable for game two with a sprained ankle? Oh oh.

Justise Winslow is still amazing to watch, even if he is playing pro basketball. Which isn't my favorite. He just does everything you want a player to do.

The West needs to just simulate until the 2nd round. Warriors-Clippers and Spurs-Thunder will be great.

I actually think the Clippers can hang with the Warriors and take the series to 6 or 7 games. CP3 can check Curry and at least make him work a lot on defense. Plus there will be bad blood, something crazy will happen that series.

Spurs-Thunder will be fascinating for us NBA fans. The teamwork and ball movement of the Spurs against 2 of the 5 best players in the league. Spurs are the better team, but traditionally OKC gives them fits due to their speed and athleticism.

His Euro-step move in the game yesterday was very sweet!
Also, the play where he went into kaminski's chest and scored. Frank has to be sick of the guy by now.

Unfortunately, I think the first round is going to be one of the least exciting in years, particularly out west. But assume the clippers find their stride. How compelling with those western conference semis be? The only bad thing is that those last four won't all play each other.

Yeah, the playoffs in the West are already nauseating and we haven't seen a game two yet.

I don't think the Clippers can win two or three against the Warriors, but I do feel it will be a fun series with a lot of intensity. The Clippers won't be afraid to hand out a few hard fouls if it might get into the heads of the Warriors. I like that.

OKC is kind of the Spurs krptonite. Like you I think the Spurs ultimately win, but that should be a spectacular series. I'm really looking forward to it.

I really don't understand how the Mavericks are hanging with the Thunder other than needing to make the games seem more interesting. The Mavs, Raptors and Pacers have the least impressive rosters of the playoff squads.

Maybe even as soon as next year, the Bucks will be a fun, fun playoff squad. If the Kings can get their act together, they'd be a top 5 team out West. The Wolves or Jazz should take over the Mavs spot next season as well.

This year it's all about the Warriors and Cavs.

Exciting round 2 series? Yes, but GS will win in 5 cause The Clippers will try and run with GS and they can't (nobody can). I actually think OKC can beat S.A. in that series.

I tried to watch Charlotte's first game but they were a mess. Like always. Besides them, call me when the second round hits because for me it's all garbage until then.

Though I am hoping for the Clippers to choke again, I hate them. (Sorry JJ, I love you!)

Mason led the Trailblazers tonight in points (tied w 17), boards (tied w 10), and assists 7. Love that not only is he in playoffs but that he's contributing significantly. He should have a nice second contract when it comes that time.

Yeah the playoffs are sure showing some guys weaknesses. I follow the Hornets all year (Im a QC guy born and raised) and have enjoyed how hard they play. But guys like C. Zeller, Marvin, and Frank are good role players who try hard, but in the playoffs everyone goes hard and ita bout talent. So far these guys have been quite disappointing. Pretty sure the Hornets passed on Winslow last year...itd be ok to draft one Duke guy MJ!

Crazy to think that Winslow is better than Kaminsky and is 3 years younger AND the Hornets didn't draft him.

Andre Drummond is younger than Kaminsky.......

Mason has had a monster series for the Blazers. I'm guessing they end the Clippers season tonight. No Paul, no Griffin and a hobbled J.J. doesn't bode well for the Clippers. Now it looks like Rivers just got bloodied too.

The big question is how long is Curry going to be out for the Warriors? They can't win the whole thing without him.

Who does everyone have in the SA-OKC series? I'm saying Spurs in seven. Should be a great series.

I just saw that he's the first Trailblazers player to have 10+ rebounds in 5 straight playoff games since Bill Walton in the 1977 NBA Finals

He averaged 8ppg, 13.2rpg and 5.7apg for the series. That's with a game one stat line of 4, 5 & 0. He had a great series. And as I expected the Blazers move on.

By the way, Austin had to have 11 stitches put in last night during the game. He returned to score 21. Mad props. I'm guessing he's hurting a bit this morning.

Cleveland just set an NBA record (regular season or playoffs) for threes in a game, and they set the record on a Dahntay Jones three.

I was about to post about this when I saw your post. Before Dahntay Jones set the NBA record for made 3's in a single game, Kyrie Irving set the record for made 3's in a single playoff game.

I thought it was funny when Barkley said that to set the tone for the next game the Hawks defenders should have gone out and hit someone, haha.

Haha, yeah I saw that. Maybe, instead of cheap-shotting to send a message, the Hawks could have sent an even stronger message by playing a little bit more defense.

The games in the East haven't been great, but the level of play by the winning teams has been stellar. The Spurs/Thunder series is one of the best playoff series is super entertaining.

I'm not much of an NBA watcher, but I many here I like to poke my head in to see how our Dukies are doing. Winslow was huge last night in overtime. An awesome tip in and two huge offensive rebounds in OT. What a fun player to watch!

All you'll hear is how Wade (don't like him at all) is the reason the heat won last night, but the defense by Justise on the last two possessions is why. Forced two straight stops on his own.

Steph curry is nothing less than banana's I mean insane. That was a HOF performance last night. Could have been 2-2 but because of him it's 3-1 going home. It was remarkable watching him take over.
