I'm not sure any of them make the field this season - maybe a couple of DB's. My one guy will be Donovan Westmoreland at LB. He may have a shot at the rotation and he is a player.

Man, sure looks like we're coming at a position we've been lacking in for several years! LB

Yes- I Hope so. For years I have referred to our defense as 2nd and 2. WE would get gashed on simple off tackle plays where the LB was out of position or slow to fill the gap and stick a helmet in. When Offenses are consistently 2nd and 2 the world is your oyster. WE need speed and size at LB

Hate to refence a Tater, But I saw Isaiah Simmons play in High School at Olathe North, KS. He was then 6'3.5 and weighed 220. He also played receiver in High School and no one could stop him on jump balls. Unbelievable athleticism. His playing weight at Clemmy was 238. That is the size needed to slow an offense.

I agree with you and part of that was the type of defense Champ was playing. Our interior line was too small and we never attacked unless it was a obvious pass play. I saw a change in our defense this season from a attacking stand point. I saw Staley take a lot of bad angles and was too slow to make a difference at times. I like how athletic our linebackers are now. We’re playing a lot faster because we know our assignments now all around.
