Are any of the nominated movies actually any good? Saw Manchester by the Sea today - ugh. Was like a 3 hour torture session, completely miserable.

Saw arrival - meh.

Hell or high water was okay I guess, pretty forgettable, surprised it was nominated.

Any of the other 3 worth a look or should I save 6 hours of my life?

I've seen Hacksaw Ridge, Moonlight, Lion, Hell or High Water, and Arrival and thought they were all worth seeing although I agree with Arrival being kind of meh.

maybe so, but the winners and losers of these "awards" have always been pandering to someone or something. white or black or whatever. it's all a shitshow of self absorbed people congratulating each other on how awesome they think they are. they play dress up and pretend for a living. it isn't supposed to be taken seriously lol. hell i'm surprised everyone didn't get a trophy for showing up this time around. make everyone happy. oscars for everyone. because we actors are all more important than everyone else.
