He's a guy UK was foolish to not even consider moreso than we did....The man just wins at the worst jobs than even UK.

Who plays to win, lead Washington State to a 69-7 win today over Arizona for the Cougars 7th straight.

And how, exactly, did Stoops not "play to win" tonight? He had a receiver fumble the ball on a first-down catch when we were up 8 and had all the momentum. He had another receiver drop a sure TD on a bomb when we had the lead. We were throwing the ball when we were up; unfortunately we have below-average receivers.

Play calling that last possession. Especially when we got to first and goal. That was infuriating to watch.

Why do these things always happen to us? We always make bone headed plays, why do you think that is? Why does Alabama not make bone headed plays constantly? How about other good teams? At some point it comes back to coaching.

You mean the last possession when Snell ran it down their throats? If Stoops goes away from the run there, and Johnson throws a pick - or more likely, one of our subpar receivers drops the pass -- then he gets crucified for abandoning what was working.

Look, I've been as critical as anyone of Stoops. A lot of it was justified. Tonight it's not. This team has made HUGE strides. If your fallback is to just blindly blame the coach every time something goes wrong, the criticism simply loses credibility.

He put the team in position to win tonight. Juice, Baker and Badet were horrific and made critical errors, and that was too much to overcome.

As soon as Georgia called a timeout and Smart ripped his team, I told my son we should mix it up and run to the outside. I knew they were going to step up and stop the run up the middle. That's what they did. It sucks when you feel like you know what is going to happen, but all you can do is sit back and watch it happen.

Stoops is handicapping the offensive play calling, if you think his 3rd down timeout to force Gran to call a pass is a one time thing you're crazy. Brown, Dawson, and now Gran are all handicapped by Stoops.

I have been watching (and betting) all their games this year. Their QB, Falk (very tough kid) has been phenomenal IMO, when is the last time we had a QB complete 22 passes in a row?

Do you think he would of came to U.K. And leave after one year at Washington state. Since he was hired there the year BEFORE we hired stoops and not at the same time

If he leaves a program after one season, what would make you think he wouldn't of left us after his first season here. This whole we could of hired leach is kinda silly. Because someone posted that they spoke to him on a book signing tour (before he took over at Washington state btw saying he would coach here). He is a good coach, but you couldn't of moved joker after year two and a 5-7 (his first non bowl season) We would of been ran through the coals by every media outlet and would have been spun into a big race story. And we didn't need that used against us with recruiting because a high percentage of our players who would be playing could look at that and rebel (like mizzu).

The guy is a top five offensive minded coach no doubt. But he was never coming here.

But stoops has done a great job here building us back up to respectable in the time most thought was a longer window. And last night we showed what an improved team we are under stoops than before he arrived.
