While it was against NMST, how can you say he didn't look great? As if he was just mediocre?agreed, he doesnt look great...but hes not bad. offense looks better with him in control, did a nice job getting the ball to the playmakers.

I can't really agree with this. The offense looked great yes. But, Drew hasn't faced the 2nd worse defense in College football yet. I think Drew would have lit them up as well.
But we know that Drew has been the better of the 2 in practice facing the worst defense in college football.
Thought he looked excellent yesterday and yes he got the ball to his"studs"... should definitely be the starter on Saturdayagreed, he doesnt look great...but hes not bad. offense looks better with him in control, did a nice job getting the ball to the playmakers.

Shouldn't lose the job due to an injury.
I agree. I thought SJ looked sharp. He got the offense going and seemed they were more confident. I can't say much for the defense. I even made a comment that the coach should have the offense stay on the field and play defense too. They can't do worse than our defense.Drew throws it to the other team too much..let him sit and watch a while
Absolutely correct.
You should lose it when you're outperformed
do we really know who looks better in practice? do we really know how that translates to saturdays? seems alot of guys got PT based on practice, then couldnt get it done on the field and have been replaced. i like the way johnson spread the ball around.
Beating up UKs o line in practice is probably easy, even for Elam. They think Elam is the best in practice if that tells anybody anything.

It Must be Johnson. If he leads Us to victory against So Carolina, he is our man for the rest of season.
I missed the first part of the game but didn't drew get to face them his first series and threw a pick on his first pass? SJ came in and three 22 times with no picks. If stoops runs Barker back out there next week to start against SC he should be fired on the spot (should be already but besides the point). SJ adds another dynamic to this offense that DB can't add and that's not even debatable.
If you've paid attention Drew was hurt on one of the first plays of the game. Also, (which baffles me) Drew was never allowed to hand the ball to Boom. I think NMST had 14 points before UK handed the ball off for the first time.
The first two series had nothing to do with Drew. I think it was the worst play calling Gran has had.
Look to Wally Pipp. He got replaced by some guy named Lou Gehrig...Shouldn't lose the job due to an injury.
So I am guessing you want drew back out there then despite the play SJ put forth. Drew played quite a bit against Florida and resembled his entire play of last years UOFL debacle and the 2nd half of so miss game to start this year. I like DB but he needs to serve as a backup to SJ as he brings what this team needs and allowing him to play and gain confidence is the only shot this team has.
