Impressive how? They really didn't do anything against the top teams in the SEC...and got crushed by FSU, Bama and Michigan. They sort of got lucky with their schedule too. They were also extremely lucky to beat UK, ECU and Vandy last year. AND they went to OT with Florida Atlantic. Ya, screams impressive...

A 10-win season built with smoke and mirrors is very impressive. It's called coaching.

So let me get this straight...........SC "almost" beat Clemsux, and should have beat UT at Neyland if not for a fumble in the last few minutes of the game while down 3 while headed towards a TD. Yeah, we lost to the Citadel also. So what does all this mean?

I find it interesting that UK loses by 30 to UT last year in Lexington, but SC is a lock win because "we're terrible" when we showed we're capable with the right attitude. You beat us by a whopping 4 points last year. That's also why I can't figure out all the posters in this thread saying UT is MUCH better than UK. UT is as jekly/hyde as the rest of the league except for a few. One day you can go toe to toe with a team that played for the national title, the week before you can lose to the Citadel.

With the exception of Bama, UK has a shot at every game on the schedule. But also, any let down or not at peak performance can lead to a loss to anyone on your schedule. SC is the same way this year. I look at our schedule as similar to UK's. We have one game I can't really see us winning (CU at dung valley), and UK likely has one the same in Bama. The rest of the schedule is tough, but really favorable if each team plays up to their potential.

That's debatable, but I do expect Jackson to be one of the most dynamic players in college football this year!

We need a game changer at UK and it's been awhile since we've had one!
Again...had the offense just racked up just some clock killing drives the second half then Otis doesn't have the time to score enough pts to catch up...pretty sure we didn't get a 2nd half 1st down till very late in the 4th qtr

Comparative scores just don't work out. UK is that much worse than UT because we match up poorly with them. We match up much better against USC. The things that we are really bad at USC isn't in as much of a position to take advantage of. There's a reason why there's more optimism about us beating Florida than of us beating UT even though Florida beat UT and we haven't beat Florida since the 80's. It's all in the position by position matchups.

Fair enough, but the message you quoted said that I wish UK could get a game changer like Jackson...

I'd still like to have few game changers.

4-8. Wins against Southern Miss, Vandy, New Mexico St., and Austin Peay. While we may have a chance against two or three more, our past performance both coaching and application have proven disasterous at times.

You obviously haven't looked at the schedule very well. That's just a straight Debbie downer outlook without any facts to back it up. USCjr and Mizzou are terrible.

No, I have looked at the schedule and based on our passed performance with questionable coaching this is the most probable outcome. Believe me, I want to be wrong in a big way.

pretty damn strange to try and argue that we will be worst in 2016 than we were in 2015. I can get saying there wont be a lot of improvement, but worst? why, what did we lose that was irreplaceable?

Because we're going to have to use a football this year instead of a basketball.
