Noticed in the B10 that QB, Altmeyer and Illinois are tagged as a Playoff sleeper. Interesting.

Altmeyer should be good this year. I’d have Indiana and Iowa as dark horses. Baylor and Texas Tech are my dark horse picks for the big 12. big 12 is a pretty easy slot to make the playoffs For somebody.

Isn't it odd. So many teams might make the playoffs. But only 1 of about 3 teams are good enough to win it all. The other 347 literally have no hope. False hope maybe. But no legitimate chance.

Still doesn’t make sense why we paid that dude from FSU $1 million or whatever to transfer in and hold the clipboard, apparently.
I've just about decided that it was nothing more than an optics move for Lebby to show the fanbase that he could get at least one guy out there to take his NIL money. No matter whether he plays or not this season, I don't see him back next year, and that's why I'm not wasting any time on learning to spell his last name

He very well may be the starter by week 4-5. We have an injury-prone starter at QB and a bad offensive line, so I would put the odds at 50% he starts all 12 games this year. I hope he does start all 12 games, but it's highly likely the backup sees significant playing time.

AND we have Kamario

So we spent a ton of money on a transfer QB when we have a bad offensive line. Yeah that makes no sense whatsoever. Why can’t we ever figure out how to put a decent to good offensive line on the damn field? That’s where it all starts and ends. But let’s spend a mill or whatever on a transfer QB that 1) may not even play and 2) if he does he will be running for his life back there and being fierce to throw in a hurry.

100%, ain't a possibility that Shapen starts 12 games.

I'd consider playing the true freshman once he gets hurt though

Seems like every damn year we have a patchwork offense line and somehow expect to have a decent season. But we want to get a pricey flashy QB. Ok.

Can you elaborate more on this “bad offensive line.” I’m curious how you and others know it’s bad. Do you even look at who we added from the portal or who we have returning on the OL. Is this just another lazy sixpack take.
