The strength of the Texas defense has been shutting down the three point shot, although this has been against weak competition so far. We need to make a bunch of threes to win. Should be interesting.

I think Texas might pull a two-step on us and we might be on the losing end of the game like Butler. We might make it close. But Texas' big men might just be a little bit bigger than ours.

NU will need to hit lots of 3's. BTW, does Comcast/Xfinity carry the Longhorn Network?

I'm really looking forward to this game. My dad went to UT and was a huge Longhorn fan. I went to many UT football and basketball games as a kid, but he wasn't able to convince me to attend UT for college. I instead made the head scratching decision (at least to him) to head north to the land of ice and snow. He became a big Northwestern fan and was in the stands at the Rose Bowl. He passed away three years ago, but I know he would have had fun watching this game tonight.

I don't have a good feeling about this game, but if I am wrong and we can keep it close with an aggressive, athletic team, then that would bode quite well for the future!

This will be like playing one of the top 5 or 6 Big 10 teams. Nothing to **** ones pants over, but NU will definitely be the underdog.

It is even available on the old school ESPN web site, as long as you have ESPN from your cable provider. And you can view past events for some time, so if you don't catch the game tonight you can watch it tomorrow.

Yeah I saw this, having watched a few Texas games and said "what in the world?". We are going to be eaten alive inside! Oops....clearly the Vegas folks saw a paper tiger in Texas....
