Based on nothing other than how well-known they are, who do you think are the three most famous sci-fi/action movie heroines ever?

Just for simplicity's sake, only include characters who are primarily originated in movies. For example, don't consider characters like Black Widow, Wonder Woman, Katniss Everdeen, Major Motoko Kusanagi, etc.

I went with Leia, Ripley, and Sarah Connor, but I wouldn't be surprised if most people under 20 would side with Leia, Padme, and Rey simply due to the popularity of Star Wars.

I’m with the consensus and say…
1. Ripley
2. Leia
3. Sarah Conner

But, watch out top 3, Furiosa could rise fast if the Mad Max sequels are anywhere near as good as Fury Road was. If the poll was based on just one film, Trinity would be a stronger contender. Unfortunately, The Matrix 2 and 3 underwhelmed (especially 3).
