Not bitter at all. It happens sometimes at this level. But being a Marshall fan you wouldn't be expected to know much about playing at this level...........

Not so sure what you're referring to.................we've "been there" three times in the past 29 years. 1988, 1993, and 2007.

In 88 we played for the National Championship and lost after our starting QB got injured early in the game.

In 93 we were undefeated in the regular season and ranked 2nd in the nation but weren't selected to play in the championship game.

And in 2007 we were undefeated and second ranked, with a serious shot to play for the championship before Pitt pulled the upset.

I stand corrected. But it doesn't change the fact that had we beat Pitt that we'd have had a shot at the NC game.
