why does every team have to have a name?

If they come naturally, then great....but if we collectively have to rack our brains in an attempt to name a team, then it normally comes off sounding hokey

just my opinion

Already seen shirts that say the "Unbeatables", I'd guess that'll be the one that will stick if they run the table.

I saw one internet add with the different nicknames you can buy.

People can try all they want, but no one is going to call this team anything but "The 40-0 Team".

I'm not sure why we feel compelled to nickname every UK team

I still refer to the '78 team as "the '78 team" and probably always will

In point of fact it has been the teams that didn't win a championship that the nicknames have come most easily: the Unforgettables, Rupp's Runts

It's a long road to a championship yet

Everybody need ought to just relax and let the season play out

If something happens or there's something that just seems to fit then you can jump all over it

All of those are terrible. Most likely I will not be able to come up with one, and won't spend time trying - I am more of a numbers guy. BUT, please dont do another "UN" one, that will group this one with the others. This one is singular and special.

If we get one, let it be original and not a copy cat type thing. How about something with Cal in it (Rupp's Runts esk), something about how many players all on the same page (troops/ military esk). We prob need one.

Come on you artistic people, give us some choices - good ones. Something original or at least based of something more than 50 years old. Something fresh, and they don't get anointed until after 9.

Too simple and doesn't end in "ables". If you insist on that theme (we've nothing better to do while waiting on history), "indefatigables" would qualify but doesn't roll off the tongue. In fact there are a few on here whom I'd pay to listen to them try to say that on a radio call-in show.

You forgot to rant about adding "ABLES" to the end of whatever awful nickname.
