I'm leaning Spieth. How awesome would it be for someone to make a serious run at the grand slam? I wouldn't be mad at Day, but I can't see him handling the pressure in his condition. DJ would be ok, too. I can't see JB's short game allowing him to go low enough.

Has everyone's sound been cutting in and out, or is that just a Fox 56 or directv thing? Seems to be a lot worse today.

I know this is about 15 years to late but does anyone think that Tiger accomplished grand slam in golf? I don't because it means getting all of them in the same calendar year. It may be the greatest accomplishment in sports but it wasn't a grand slam.

Umm, Glenn, no one calls it a grand slam. It's called the Tiger Slam, so I'm confused in what you are trying to say or what point you are making????

What makes that more remarkable is he won the Players in 2001 in March as well right before completing it in April at Augusta. 5 biggest tournaments in the world in a row:scream:

So, I'm going to Kiawah in early September and that right when they RAISE prices to play the courses. Guess how much it will cost me to play The Ocean Course this time, IF I decide to grow a wild hair and play it instead of a cheaper course?
370 ******* bones, ridiculous

Crazy wind. Forced carries over hazards. Big $$. No thanks.Guess I'm just a parkland course guy, though I'd love to play st andrews and a couple of other courses in the open rota.

The day I played it, it did not blow at all, which is rare. I didn't lose a ball (which I thought was a miracle) and shot 83 from one in front of back tees. Since I'm feeling a bit healthy this year I want to play it. I will go to Kiawah for many years but I'm just feeling one last time but my goodness 370 before caddie.

I agree about the coverage but this is FOX's first attempt at golf. If you are old enough to remember when they first got football everybody was scared. As it turns out they were very innovative and are still probably the best at it. They were the first with the first down line and the time and score in the corner.

ESPN was the first to use the first down line. And the thing to remember about Fox and football was that they didn't start from scratch. They hired everyone they could from CBS and could tweak from there. This had been awful, and they won't do it again for another year. This has all the earmarking of when they did BCS bowl games.

Are you gay? She's hot to LOOK AT...I don't think she's in your Mensa circle....

Dude, you're on the internet. You can look at all the pictures in the world there and not screw up coverage of the thing you're watching on the tv.

I never liked the shark as a player or in any role whatsoever, but he has a little potential. I already like him more than faldo. And I'd love to never be subjected to espn coverage ever again. Also happy over-the-hill lundquist and Gary "repeat yourself three times, repeat yourself three times, repeat yourself three times" koch aren't around.

I like faxon, too, but he's been pretty bad this week.

I like Faxon and I like Koch. Koch is one of my favorites.

Faldo is best when talking about the players mind set but as a whole he's not very good.

"Cheaper" course there doesn't equal poor. Your dime, but if you have played it once, then play Osprey or Turtle and pocket the diff.

And fwiw...those "once in a lifetime" courses cost ya. $395 for Kapalua last year plus lunch and golf shirt and I walked out of there in excess of 5 bills for a nice morning round.

I've played Turtle, Cougar and Oak Point. If I'm going to spend $275 on Osprey marcus just play the Ocean again. It's just a tad ridiculous, regardless.

I get it, but Billy Urschel made an *** out of himself today IMO.

Too bad, he's one of my favorite young guys out there.

So you put that $500 in a 7-8 year CD then pulled it out at maturity and played golf with it?

There are worse ways to spend $500 7-8 years later.

Yep, definitely did a poor job of identifying the best player, which is the entire point of a major

DJ (7)
Day (10)
Spieth (2)
Rory (1)
Scott (12)
Kuchar (18)
Holmes (13)
Reed (15)
Koepka (21)

aka, a who's who of Top 20 World Ranked Players making up the bulk of the Top 15 on the leader board.

What a travesty!

They should turn that course back into a gravel pit.

Links course my butt.

Poi and fescue nursery and not a very good one at that.

Lol at cawood holding out hope at even the THOUGHT that Harmon would dump DJ & Phil (among others) to work with Tiger...which is exactly what would have to happen with as much attention as he requires these days.

...only thing more annoying/***** than Golfer whiners are Golf FAN whiners. Good job you little f-boys.

-This Open has been a joy to watch...the only thing that can ruin it at this point is Brandon Grace. I would be furious. [sick]
