I thought about waiting until it was finishing and doing a marathon up to the final episode, but my curiosity got the better of me. The reaction to the last episode has been all over the map, but mostly everything seems a bit rushed this season. I really wish they had 10 episodes this final season.

Anybody watching Game of Thrones?

Last episode was bonkers. Just absolutely insane. Pinnacle of the whole series in my opinion. The last 3 episodes better be good to live up to it.

If anyone likes some martial arts fun, Into the Badlands is one to watch.

One thing's for sure. We're all just guessing the ending since Martin seems to have abandoned finishing the novels.

I completely agree. That episode was crazy as a peach orchard boar. My mom came over to watch it with me and she was greatly amused as I popped up and down on the couch throughout. She said I was into it!

Edit: Don't know how I got my response in the quote.

That was an intense one. I thought more bodies would drop as far as significant characters.

Yea me too. I just don't understand how they are going to create a satisfying ending, in 3 more episodes, with they way last episode ended..........but if they do....it's about to be EPIC

I know each of the last three are going to be in the hour and 20 minute range like last week's, so maybe that will give them more leeway.

I picked up Days Gone today. Hopefully I can play it tomorrow after hours of system and software updates install tonight. The curse of not playing the PS4 consistently is catching up on the updates.
Awesome man! Have fun with it! I’ve been playing it a lot. Yea lol. If u don’t update the PS4 regularly, it will catch up with you!

I have enjoyed Game of Thrones but I wish they had focused a little more on the magic part, such as the direwolfs. Looking forward to the prequels. Also think the new watchmen series has potential.

Ooh! I haven't thought about it in awhile, but I loved that show. Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore were outstanding. I never understood how they looked over at the Emmy's.
Yes it's very subtle. Norman does not start out crazy. Well maybe a little bit.

I'm almost through binge watching Bates Motel. It's really good. Is the new GOT season that bad?

It's not BAD.....it's super RUSHED though. It's like all the character development went ghost and just seems to be a lot of coincidence to fit everything in.

There are still dragons and girls.....so I'm cool

Well put. I don't have any real issues with the major character beats, and visually it has been great. But rushed is right - the payoff moments don't feel as strong as they have in the previous seasons because everything is going 100 miles per hour.

I agree. They spent 7 seasons building to the war with the snow zombies and it was 1 battle. It was an awesome battle, but only 1.

Alright, we do score predictions, so how about some GoT predictions for the finale. I'm gonna guess Dany and John both die, possibly by way of each other. I give it an outside shot that Arya kills one of them.

Beyond that, I have no idea.

I too think both Jon and Danny die, and Sansa takes the throne.

- One of Jon or Dany lives, but neither sit on the iron throne.
- Samwell, Ser Davos, Yara, Brienne, and Pod live through the second last war.
- Bran or Sansa take the iron throne. The other becomes warden of the north.
- Tyrion becomes hand of the new king or queen.
- Bronn finally gets his castle.
- Hotpie becomes the royal chef because he never gives up on the gravy.
- Don't know what to think about Arya. I hope she lives, but my gut says she's used eight of her lives and her time runs out in the finale.

Edit: Forgot Greyworm. Dead, dead, dead.

Hot Pie spinoff to come. He will the be the judge in a Chopped-style cooking show filmed in Winterfell.

Could see Arya, Gendry or John taking the throne. Think Danny kills Sansa for telling Tyrion and being a ***** to her. At least I hope Sansa gets whacked or stays in Winterfell.

I have avoided the spoilers for GoT, but I finally looked them up and they were bang on. I assumed that there would be a massive fight that killed Dany or Jon, not Jon assassinating Dany. I also thought Greyworm and Arya would perish in that fight. Sentencing Jon to take the black was a surprise too because the Night King is dead, dead, dead, so why is there a night's watch?

As an aside, Peter Dinklage has done incredible work on this show. He's just utterly fantastic as Tyrion. I do wish they hadn't rushed the last two seasons and R.R. Martin had been involved more to flesh out the scripts. I believe he wanted at least one more season to let the story evolve organically and the show runners should have listened.

All in all, it was a heck of a ride, sometimes bumpy, but always entertaining.

I think it was the right ending, but not the best ending, if that makes sense. I expected more fireworks, haha.

I'm pumped for the 2nd season of Yellowstone, June 19th. If you haven't checked out season 1 you are really missing out. It's on Paramount. Not for kids. Costner is awesome in this one.

Agreed, I was fine with how it all ended up. It wasn't perfect, but it was good. Big win for the Stark family after all they have been through (including Jon as a pseudo-Stark), with each of the remaining four getting some form of validation/closure/peace. I read one review this morning panning the finale for that very reason, which to me seems silly. The notion that the protagonist must die to give the show depth/gravity is ridiculous. This is an intensely analyzed show, probably more than any other show that ever existed. It is a victim of its own success in a lot of ways.

I actually liked that good things finally happened to the starks. Nothing good happened all 8 seasons.
