FWIW, numbers 1, 2, 3, and 10 made semis in 6A.
Numbers 1, 4, 6, and 8 in 7A.
Have to imagine 8A would be similar, as Lockport in a voted seeding would have been top 12 for sure.
Seems like this could be a helpful tool for future seeding but who are we to suggest such a thing?

You are 100% correct. However, they will never be able to go to that type of system as it will open the door to complaints of bias, conflict of interest, etc. The current system is the fairest as it is black and white. Just doesn’t produce the best matchup’s unfortunately.

I’m in agreement they never will, but it would be nice. I never hear complaints of bias on basketball seeding (maybe I just don’t pay attention). It’s 2025, should just be able to have all the qualifiers in each class on Saturday, send the coaches an email have them rank 1-31 for their respective class by Sunday night, not ranking their own team. By Monday morning you have the seeds
