Okay, I've been doing some math on my calculator, if 100 of us can get $20,000 together each, we could buy an island for 2,000,000. Most of us will probably die in the first few weeks, that might suck, but it might be worth it if you don't die. Wanna start picking out an island? Start coming up with names?

Probably not unfortunately, I don't have the 20,000, but there are a lot of cans out there that need to be picked up, and I can get a nickel for each of them. My calculator only works when the sun is out, so I will have to figure out tomorrow how many cans I need.
LadyCat notwithstanding, you realize that the overwhelming majority of Paddock posters are dudes, right?
I'm not about to live on some piece of **** island you can pick up for 2 mil. When you find a respectable 20 mil island, I might give it a thought.
When you find that island, our island will attempt to take over your island for its natural resources.
100 people for 2 million, would have to be a rather undeveloped island. We would have Lord of the Flies - Paddock edition.

There is an island off the coast of SC between Charleston and Hilton Head. Privately owned. ONE owner. Has a huge *** house and enough deer and flatland to fill at least 100-150 humans' protein AND veggie requirements. Well water is sorta brackish, but hell, you can boil it if necessary. Guy that owns it only visits on the weekends, and then spends a month there in the fall to cull the deer herd. The caretaker goes over once a week by boat from the mainland to check things out. I used to ride along with him to raid the liquor cellar (yeah, it IS a cellar). When things go to hell here in the States, I know where I'm going!
Here's a nice one for just $1,600,00. We would have $400,000 left over for beer.
