Wouldnt be surprised to see Dre pass him. $680 million from the Beats deal. And I dont know if theyve released how much he made on Straight Outta Compton and its soundtrack.
im not a big U2 fan, but Bono seems like a genuinely decent guy. now a genuinely rich decent guy.
True story:
I had a client once who had business interests in Africa. Bono asked his company if he could come visit the company to promote one of his causes, which was third world economic development. Client went home and told his wife and kids that some Irish singer with a weird name had called and wanted to visit his plant, wondered if they had ever heard of him. His kids literally fell on the floor laughing at him. Then got up off the floor and begged to go with him to meet Bono.
Needless to say, client was not well versed in current musical trends.
