It is one of those crimes that will never be solved. Like Jimmy Hoffa's disappearance, who really killed Jon Benet Ramsey, what happened to Judge Crater, Hell locally. What happened to Melanie Flynn? There are certain cases that no one suspect checks all the boxes, which is why they never get solved
I wonder if in the future there will be any more high profile true whodunits. With cameras and license plate readers seemingly covering every square inch of urban and suburban America, it might be getting to be almost impossible for people to get away with the kind of high profile murders that used to fascinate America.

The technology for extracting DNA is getting better giving rise to hope for unsolved cases. As to your point, very few.

Larry Kane? Yeah, their are too many suspects and probably all kinds of lies from witnesses. Be great if they could unmask the POS.

The final suspect outside of Arthur Leigh Allen was Lawrence Klein, who went under the alias (one of many) Larry Kane. Kane had an extensive criminal background dating all the way back to the 1940s. The sister of Zodiac victim Darlene Ferrin made claims that Kane followed her sister for months leading up to the murder. In addition, the possible Zodiac abductee Kathleen Johns positively identified Kane as her abductor. He eventually died in 2010 in Reno, Nevada. So, while Zodiac focuses primarily on Arthur Leigh Allen, there were other suspects who fit the bill.

Larry Kane setup an appointment for a woman to show him a house out in the middle of the desert. She was a realtor. Anyway, she shows up and nobody's there and she waits around. Then she notices a hearse pulling in the driveway. She goes out to talk to them and they said they were told there would be a female dead body to pick up. She quit her job.

Sure looks like Arthur Leigh Allen after watching the Netflix Documentary.

The handwriting discounts him, say some, but what serial killer would let handwriting be what gets him caught?

If even 30% of what's on the Netflix Docuentary about Arthur Leigh Allen is true, there can be no other person that did this.
The Zodiac was described by both Michael Magaeu and David Hartnell as being 5'8" tall and 200 pounds. Hartnell was 6'5" and a poor judge of height. Arthur Lee Allen was the same height as Hartnell The DNA did not match Arthur Lee Allen. The prints did not match Arthur Lee Allen.

His voice was also described as younger by all the people that heard his voice. Arthur Lee Allen was already balding by 1968. The Zodiac wasn't.

Morford has a podcast about the Netflix series you're talking about. He's much better at picking it apart than I am.

The one description that stood out was the description of a large round face. I think William Mac Andrew might be the world champion at having a large round face.

I usually stand down on this because you are manical about it to an unhealthy obsession......., but my opinion is that it's ALA. Not just my opinion, many others. Have a nice day.
