125 PERTERSON - Feel like he is NOT getting to his Offense as he should be!!! Never felt he was in danger to lose but a SV win is NOT enough!! 75

133 AYALA - got a Major against a low ranked kid. He also should be pushing his O much more and working on the LARGE arsenal of weapons he has 78

141 BAILEY- we are3 getting into a pattern were guys are just not trusting their stuff and CONDITIONING I guess? He shot early which ended in a Stalemate, GET BACK AT IT!!! Just not enough O 76

149 BLOCK Felt he looked very solid against a lower ranked kid. I am looking at him a little different because of where he was and where he IS!!!! GREAT progress and what we need to see much more of!!! 90

157 VV wrestled a very solid match filling in. Was somewhat amazed that he was not getting to his Leg Ride? 80

165 CALIENDO - Did what you would expect. Maybe you would like to see it happen faster, or a pin???? but whatever 98

174 KENNEDY- wrestling a good kid he just made it look easy in a WORKMAN sorta way 99

184 ARNOLD - was surprised to see him but the MOST important thing TWOOO see is. IOWA has a very good wrestler "in waiting" to fill a spot 90

197 ENDNE- WOW!!!! what can you say!?!?!? This guy just keeps getting it done, and you have to love the way he is doing it as far as a NEVER STOP way!!!! Just keeps frightening, moving forward, attacking..... 100!!!

Heavy KUETER- MOST important was seeing him on the mat!!!! I didn't think it was a great match. Obviously need to score more!!! but a WIN against a ranked kid which was never really in doubt the whole match. 83

"IF you are wise you'll listen to me" and IF you did!?!??!?! Cha CHING!!!!! $$$$$$$$ for you!!!! You R welcome!!!!!

Id give Angel a 70. He did fairly well not interjecting himself but did have a couple of really strange calls. I have no idea why Bailey got hit with stalling riding unless Angel was saying he pushed him out of bounds but he had good control on the mat, he wasn't running him out on their feet. The other call was actually TWOOO calls on Keuter back to back on the whistle, I didn't see either wrestlers start early.

I believe he was saying Kueter wasn't covering properly on the elbow.

I was thinking Angel was doing a surprisingly good job until the Endene match where he refused to hit Stout for stalling in the 3rd and the two cautions on Kueter were just bad….Gavin told him to watch Kueter’s placement and he became whistle happy. Still, not terrible officiating.

Endene wasn't doing enough to earn that call in my opinion. He wasn't controlling the handfight and moving Stout around and pushing him to the edge constantly had he been we probably see the call. For some reason fans think to get a stalling call you gotta be firing off shot after shot which isn't true controlling the mat and constantly putting the guy on the edge will definitely get a call. Many casual fans think it's all about shooting

Good assessments across the board Iron. Can't wait to meet Iowa State; it's going to be a battle!

And you could hear Terry in the background on those Keuter calls. I have a big screen TV and I didn't see anything. Though I am a bit long in the tooth. :)

To be fair, he was controlling the action and pushing Stout to the edge in the last 45 seconds or so. It wouldn't had made any difference but Stout should have been hit once towards the end. Stout looked spent and just wanted to get out with a win and give him credit for staying on the mat in those last 5 seconds when he could have just ran off the mat and took a warning.

Stalling is so subjective. I recall Desanto shooting 10 to 0 sometimes and never get the call until he would just drive the guy off the mat.

Nobody knows. I saw speculation that maybe he tweaked something or aggravated an old injury in the match against Bellarmine.

I’m pretty sure he had offseason surgery. But beyond that it’s all just rumors and conjecture.
Take a look at the brace he is wearing, and you might guess it has something to do with his pec or labrum. Wasn't wearing it at Bellarmine

Iowa as a whole looked really good against Pitt. Peterson and Bailey were the only disappointing efforts. Block looks a lot better now that he's not sucked down to a weight where he looks like Jack Skellington. Kennedy was probably the most impressive of anyone. Augustine is tough and PK dominated him. Endene obviously had the most impressive win on paper against Stout, but Stout controlled most of the match and let it slip away at the end, but credit to Endene for taking advantage. He may not be the most talented wrestler in D1, but he definitely knows how to win.
