All the local recruiting guys are reporting this kid doesn't have a UofL offer, and never did. Stoopes is becoming quite the turd.

Anyone know if NCAA rules prevent schools from saying beforehand that they are NOT recruiting a kid--and obviously honoring that?

Would be funny as hell if before he does the ballcap shell game, the other two schools issued press releases saying 'never mind'...

I have no idea what the deal with Gosier is. It could be just a communication issue between him and the UofL staff(Petrino saying "We'd love to see you in a UofL uniform" and kid taking it as an offer), or if he's just trying to hype his announcement.

The "Stoops put him up to it" thing doesn't add up to me. I mean, Stoops would have to know that UofL fans and media would pick up on the fact that the kid doesn't even have an offer from UofL. Also, if Stoops was goimg to ask a recruit to do something like that, why wouldn't he ask a kid that DOES have a UofL offer? Derrick Baity just announced his commitment to UK, and he did have a UofL offer.

Not to redirect, but a "coach" who would encourage his ineligible guys to go out and instigate fights before a game is capable of about anything, including poor judgment...

That line of thinking has never stopped anyone from the UK camp from telling untruths about UofL before. It is in the BBN DNA.

This fake recruiting battle scheme is par for the course for a scum program like uk. This is in the same mode as their "spring game attendance record" scam and their years of inflating their gameday attendance. Its all about creating a little "headline".

Baity narrowed his list to UCF, USF, and UK. He had an offer from UofL, but they didn't make his final cut. Whether that's from his or UofL's end, I don't know, but all of the big recruiting services list UofL as an offer for Baity.

If UK wished to use a recruit for a perceived recruiting win they could have used any number of recruits. Tavin Richardson, Marcus Walker, Kei Beckham, CJ Conrad, George Asafo-Adjei, and Kengera Daniel all had offers from both UK and UofL.

Again, if Stoops wanted to display some sort of recruiting victory over UofL he wouldn't pick a guy that doesn't even have an offer from UofL.

Never heard of the kid. If he ever had a UL offer it's not a kid I remember even hearing or reading about.
