I hope they prove me wrong but so far but I have not been impressed. Not enough effort or urgency. Seems to just be going through the motions.
Oh come on. I'm not on here 24/7 like you. I didn't see a thread about it.Thank God we have a new thread about it…![]()
Ok I'm in. I will see how it pans out. I hope they do great.Look, it’s been a rocky first month but why don’t we pump the brakes and try lifting them up instead of tearing them down. It’s a long season and both guys have two years here.
Let Tom and Terry work their magic. Say what you want about their coaching but it’s undeniable that they get each and every guy to fight hard. Once that clicks, it will be a different story.

Buddy, I’ve never visited this place less. I’ve spent an hour on here this morning down in the blind…. Made me lose my appetite for my deer sausage sandwich and hot tea.Oh come on. I'm not on here 24/7 like you. I didn't see a thread about it.
Seems like it though.Oh come on. I'm not on here 24/7 like you. I didn't see a thread about it.
I'd be happy to see some of that Tom and Terry "magic" with them. Recently I'd have to say it's just been "smoke and mirrors".
Unfortunately and for right or wrong, I think much of that goodwill has gone away due to NIL. When you sell yourself to the highest bidder, you don't generally reserve the right to say give it some time.Good man. I am sure not everyone will see it this way but the last thing we need is them not feeling the love from the fanbase.
Since I am sure everyone loved my Dan Campbell analogy from last week, I am here to provide another!
3 years ago the Philadelphia Phillies signed Trea Turner to a 11 year $300 million dollar contract. He started out awful and was really struggling. There were some haters in the media and people questioning whether they wasted all that money.
The pressure was mounting and you know what the Phillies fans did? They started going crazy for Turner every time he stepped to the plate. Sure, he was slumping but he knew the fans had his back. Guess what, he turned it around and has been a key contributor to the team. They ended up falling a game short of the World Series that year but the team turned it around and had a good season. Last year Turner was an All Star.
It would have been easy for fans to say Turner was just cashing checks but that isn’t what happened. The lesson being sometimes guys need to feel love.

Probably the same way you thought Trea Turner turned his season around because he thought the fans were on his side. Do you honestly think anyone offered more NIL money to them? Who else could have? I don't need twitter posts to tell me what common sense should. How do you know they sold themselves to the highest bidder?
Rumors, innuendo, twitter posts?
How much u think they got?Probably the same way you thought Trea Turner turned his season around because he thought the fans were on his side. Do you honestly think anyone offered more NIL money to them? Who else could have? I don't need twitter posts to tell me what common sense should.
I would suggest that from much of the posting over the past 24 hours, many here think Tom and Terry’s “magic” may be more deleterious than beneficial over time.Look, it’s been a rocky first month but why don’t we pump the brakes and try lifting them up instead of tearing them down. Oh yeah, where did you hear that juicy tidbit? Then there is this. They wouldn't have started at either.Heard they turned down more money at PSU and OSU because they wanted to wrestle at Iowa and come to Iowa and have some fun.
I have zero clue what they may have gotten. How much u think they got?
Kinda went over your head. Sorry if it ruined your day.Oh yeah, where did you hear that juicy tidbit? Then there is this. They wouldn't have started at either.
But it maybe shouldn’t be that way, imo. They’re in the big leagues now. TnT saw something in these guys and now they’re in the process of coaching them up. Just because we offered them money to transfer doesn’t mean they were going to set the world on fire from the start of the season. They were seen as an upgrade to the lineup. Give these kids a chance to adapt.Unfortunately and for right or wrong, I think much of that goodwill has gone away due to NIL. Treefiddy? How much u think they got?
I’m not an insider by any means, but I was told they were going to Mizzou for 200k each but wanted to visit Iowa. They pretty much committed to Iowa on that visit. What that means, who knows. But Coach Smith wanted them pretty badly. Williams was high school teammates with Sneed and Freshman Boogie Harris in High School.Heard they turned down more money at PSU and OSU because they wanted to wrestle at Iowa and come to Iowa and have some fun.
They would have slotted in nicely for you guys. Mizzou looks young and not backing down. I think Bates is the only senior. Mauger looked tough against Delucca. You guys got some things to work out to get back but it will likely get done.I’m not an insider by any means, but I was told they were going to Mizzou for 200k each but wanted to visit Iowa. Many people are saying it.Oh yeah, where did you hear that juicy tidbit?
Mayfield the starter at 165 is also a SR Northwestern transfer along with Bates. They would have slotted in nicely for you guys. Mizzou looks young and not backing down. Many good people….Many people are saying it.

And against Pitt he looked great. Awesome match4 weeks, 5 weigh ins and tough early competition. Don't know if most guys are ready for that heat. Even Caliendo had a tough week at National Duals while Kennedy looked damn good.
Yep and appears to be wrestling better now where he is at.Mayfield the starter at 165 is also a SR Northwestern transfer along with Bates.
I’m among those who want to believe the Brands Bros still have it. But I’m not gonna lie and say that doubt hasn’t crept in over the past few seasons.Let Tom and Terry work their magic. Say what you want about their coaching but it’s undeniable that they get each and every guy to fight hard.
