We got 30 pieced by a much better team while we were woefully shorthanded. Oh and it was our second game in less than 24 hours. If you think the refs had anything at all to do with that loss then I just can’t relate to you at all

I’m not out here “defending officials”. I’m denouncing irrational crybabies. It’s the portion of our fanbase that’s embarrassing. Whining about the whistle after every single game win or lose.
Sure thing.

I also really enjoyed the fact later in the game Trueblood did the same thing when garrison drove to the basket and it was called a charge on us. Same play different calls.

As long as the call goes against Kentucky it was the right call, according to the refs.

According to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Rules Book, if a defender hits or makes illegal contact with the offensive player’s arm holding the ball, it is considered a foul under Rule 10 - Fouls and Penalties. Specifically:

IAW Rule 10, Section 6, Article 1 defines a personal foul as any illegal physical contact with the ball handler, including hitting the arm while holding the ball.

The rule states that a personal foul occurs when a defender makes illegal contact with the arms, hands, or body of the offensive player in a way that affects their ability to control the ball, shoot, or pass.

I am sure we understand the difference between the hand and arm .

When HAND is on the ball, that is not a foul.

If you hit the arm ,wrist, elbow, shoulder, head, body is a foul.

Your interpretation of the rule is incorrect. The evidence is indisputable. It is not my problem the official language of the rule doesn't jive with your understanding of it. The defender hit the arm of Williams even while holding the ball that affects the ability to control the ball or shoot, that is still a foul. The review in the game clearly showed the arm pushing against Amari's that altered the shot. For you to still be here defending the call is ridiculous. By all means, keep defending your ref cronies thinking you know more than anyone else here.

Forget this emotionally charged discussion and answer just one question. Do you see the inconsistency of calling a continuation against us for Oklahoma and ignoring a continuation for us against Alabama?

lol obviously you’re kidding. It is funny when our fan base blames the refs every game. Like everyone is out to get Kentucky lol
Or maybe just maybe the refs are actually bad.

Btw I never said the refs are to blame for the loss. We were plenty bad enough but Alabama didn't need the help from the stripes.

I saw both plays. They were identical and yielded different results. I don’t know what the actual rule is or how long it’s been in place. But they should get a grasp on it because it’s totally inconsistent. We got the ****** end of the stick both times.

It was two different games against different teams. Different crews. I feel like you can compare situations across country until you turn blue in the face. The human aspect will always be in play until we can figure a way to officiate with AI or robots.

The fact that we were clearly the worse team yesterday doesn’t have anything to do with horrible officials. No one is claiming that we should have won the game, we are saying the officiating has been trash all year long

It’s typical sports fan behavior. I’ve been hearing this for the last 20 years. I do think the sport has a unique problem now that it didn’t in the past. They don’t know what to do with the in game reviews and all the new rules changes regarding fouls. A few years back when they added the charge/block circle it was also clunky for a while. Being a coach myself I hate officials. I hate them so much that I don’t pay any attention to them. One just has to control what is within his control.

We are in a message board discussing a team we can’t control…. So it is equally fair for us to discuss the bad officials that we also can’t control
