The Halloween costume trend is tired. We need to look like a B1G football team, and our Schiano-era uniforms were classics that fit the bill. When the "pro combat" contract runs out after next year, I expect we will go back to these. Can't happen soon enough for me.

It was really fantastic to be able to read the numbers ans know who was in on which play. I heard a LOT of comments in the stands about this.
As long as they wear uniforms with better contrast between numbering and jersey color, I don't give a crap what style or color they wear. Today was great because everybody could easily read the numbering.

I love our current whites. I've been saying for years that just fixing the color scheme would do a lot. Kick the shoulder scarring out the door, change all silver/black to white, wear the road uniform pants. Classic color scheme, modern style. Maybe even a red chromed scar helmet? I do like the shiny helmets.
Nope. Our current unis have some nice styling flourishes, like the numbers and shoulder stripes, the R shield at the neck.
And I'm not sure about silver helmets with them, but maybe. I like our current ones, but I love a red helmet with white R. Maybe a chromed red helmet with matte white R?
Do you watch college football? Nearly every other Power 5 school wears their old school colors and uniforms. At most, they have very minor tweaks to font and striping.
Our new uniforms with graphic design elements put us in a very small class of P5 teams, with Oregon, Maryland, Kentucky, and maybe a couple others. The bulk of the teams wearing uniforms in the same realm as our new ones with multiple graphic design and theme elements are in the AAC, MAC and other G5 conferences.
It was so refreshing today to be able to identify who was making plays for Rutgers inside of our own stadium. First time in years I knew who every player was on defense almost at all times, was easily the best part of my day. Not looking forward to going back to our regular uniforms where I can't tell who is who.

Uniforms are great. Can actually read the numbers. As for the helmets, I prefer red with a white outline of the state of New Jersey on each side with a small, but legible white block "R" insde the state outline marking right where New Brunswick is. mmmmmmm
Uniforms were a refreshing change. In that you could not only read the numbers but read the names on the back of the jersey from the 20th row. Contrast that with the new uniforms where it is very hard to even read the numbers. Also the red jerseys with white paints is a much sharper look compared to our new salmon colored pajamas. Not once did I have to ask my seat mates who made the play and they all agreed this combination made it much easier to know who was in the game.
No I'm not over 50. Class of '92 at Rutgers.....I just have good taste.
I am 38 and I want GS' uni's back. We actually look like a B1G team yesterday rather a mid major; "Look at me!!"
