How much behind the scenes work it takes to put on a sporting event.
QFT, it amazes me how many people work on the infrastructure for several weeks before and after the Barbasol + how many volunteers it requires to put on a pro tournament. And that is a really small PGA event only on the Golf Channel, cannot imagine what the PGA or US Open looks like on ESPN or a major network.
5) The only time you can move your pivot foot when taking the ball out of bounds is after a made basket. Watch closely on HS and college and pro games...walking should be called a ton on out of bounds plays (especially sideline OOB plays) but the refs almost NEVER call it unless itās a blatant ārunning the baselineā violation.
A D3 home basketball game, when combining all the prep work, pre game, in-game, and post-game work, I would estimate took about 16 hours of work at my last school for a game that lasted two freaking hours.QFT, it amazes me how many people work on the infrastructure for several weeks before and after the Barbasol + how many volunteers it requires to put on a pro tournament. Not by my rulesIn golf, the lowest score wins. Little known fact.
Not by my rules
We didn't beat the USSR to win the gold medal in the Miracle on Ice game, even though a lot of people think we did. However, it was just the first game of the medal round, of course. We beat Finland to win the gold.
Yep -- that was undoubtedly the single biggest screw-job in sports history.True. Plus, most don't know that we also beat USSR in the 1972 Olympics basketball final, but lost simultaneously to the referees.
Please donāt go down this rabbit hole. Itās confusing as hell and I know how it happens and I still get confused explaining it. LOLNope

Why is the ball touching a goal-line pylon considered a TD since the pylons are located OOB?
Your mistake is listening to announcers. In high school football (at least in Kentucky), pass interference does NOT include an automatic first down.
In college football the clock does not stop when you go out of bounds until the clock is under 2 minutes in second and fourth quarters (nfl is similar except itās 5 minutes left in the 4th). Announcers continually act confused by this and it drives me crazy.
Because the ball is still not on the ground. You can run free down the sidelines and hold the ball out of bounds the entire 50 yards and as long as no body part hits the ground out of bounds and you are fine. Why is the ball touching a goal-line pylon considered a TD since the pylons are located OOB?
I hate it when you make sense. Thx.Because the ball is still not on the ground. You can run free down the sidelines and hold the ball out of bounds the entire 50 yards and as long as no body part hits the ground out of bounds and you are fine.
That's more likely going to happen the fewer conference games schools play since they don't beat each other up as much. SEC is still clearly the best. P12/B12/B1G play 9 conference games while ACC/SEC are at 8. Outside Vandy, SEC was 47-5 non-conference. Losses were to UCLA, Pitt, PSU, Memphis, Boston College.13 out of 14 SEC football teams are bowl eligible after playing 2021 season.
