Just started a new job - kind of a something to do thing - at the place where we go off-roading. The other new girl in the store was named after "Angelica" from Rugrats

And to make it worse, she acted like she was disgusted when I said I was 32. Like damn man I'm not going through a midlife crisis or a grandparent, chill.

Went by the local Pal's drive thru the other day to get a tea. Normally a 32 oz tea is $1.08. She charged me a buck, and when I asked her if the price had came down, she told me that was my senior citizen discount.

Young ladies calling me sir, but that also leads to a great fantasy. "yes sir" "anything for you sir" laugh.

Regarding topic; waking up every morning or driving and realizing I could have been listening to this song 35 years ago. Anytime I go get a haircut. Anytime I have yard work to do. Etc.

Other people's kids....they grow fast

I remember going to a family get together for Christmas back in high school. One of my cousins was a baby then. Fast forward about 25 years and now she is the one with the baby. Just feels so weird that someone I held in my arms as a baby is already all grown up with a kid of her own.

I guess three back surgeries also make me feel old as well. With all the metal they added to me, why couldn't they have made me more like the Bionic Man (probably shows my age a little)? Probably going to need more fusions down the road. The way things are going, I will end up a cyborg. [laughing]

Mentioning favorite songs of yours from college days and the young people in the office not only have never heard of the song, also never heard of the group either. :weary:

I don't particularly feel old but talking to teenagers and seeing the looks on their faces when I tell them the internet wasn't invented when I was their age definitely does it.

Anytime I go get a haircut.

Made me think of a good example of when I feel old. I get my hair cut about every 6 to 8 weeks. Every time I'm in there, as my barber is about to finish up, he asks if he can "knock those eyebrows back for you?". I chuckle to myself and say yes.

Also, can't go out to eat anywhere without my X2.5 reading glasses. Otherwise I can't read the menu.

Message board post's by whiny 32 year olds complaining about an 18 year old thinking he was old. You don't get a trophy pal.

Reading the obituaries.

Absolutely GD right. This was what pushed me over the edge on retiring this year. I can look in the obits on any given day, and there are multiple people in my age range in there. In the past year, there were 3 guys I used to work with who have died, and they ranged from 62-68. My wife and I both retired, and we are looking at condos in Florida. Life is short...

Get busy living or get busy dying.

Went to KFC the other day. Asked for the buffet. She asked how old I was for the senior discount.....

The young man I met recently with no memory of no dial-up internet, and has a nephew same age as my middle-school granddaughter.

Laugh, me too on the eyebrows and I always say "please". "Did you get that hair sticking straight out of my forehead?"

When I mention Woodstock and they think I'm referring to wind chimes, not the concert.
