Things we learned tonight?

Gaines has some nice upside! Quick and long and athletic! We need Skelly for 20-25 minutes at least every game. He is easily our best big man, besides Pardon, who was a bit off tonight. Mac looks fantastic but can't do it alone. We need more penetration from Law and Lindsey. They are great shooters but need to get to the rim. Ash is our best defender and looks to be 6th or 7th guy in right now as he is our only defender who can guard these elite guards or small forwards. Ash has the best conditioning of our defenders and rarely is out of position on defense. Looks like Gaines is taking minutes from Brown because of decent defense and better penetration inside. Much better team effort tonight. Benson needs to improve leg speed.

I love Mac's ability to penetrate and dish off. We need Law, Lindsey, or Ash to do the same. Ash had a couple open looks but didn't convert. Ditto for Gaines. If you want to contend for a BT Title, we will need more dribble penetration going forward. Those four, besides Mac, need to do that. Pardon needs to face the basket when shooting. He can't execute the turn around like Lou Alcindor! Benson and Brown need a redshirt! I'd give both of them one, if we get everyone else healthy as their minutes will be less than ten a game the rest of the way.
