..... go with D. Willis on the white squad and give it a go. They played harder in the platoons because it was for short periods of time. They were strong at the end of games. Now players who were playing 18 to 22 minutes a game are now playing 35 plus minutes a game. It not the same advantage we had before. Now we are not pressing as much, running as much, or crashing the boards as hard. Foul trouble is now an issue. It was not before. I believe we now see how important Alex is to this team.

Then Johnson and Lee need to show they deserve more minutes. Those are the two who are not playing as much. They did give us good minutes once they HAD TO after WCS and Towns fouled out, but they need to bring it from the start in games when they come in.

Foul trouble was an issue today because of 1. poor officiating calling several BS calls on our guys and 2. The above guys not doing their part when the starters go some fouls, requiring the starters to have to go back in before Cal would prefer I'm sure.

I'm with the OP. I'm a huge platoon guy. Just go full throttle and eventually wear the other team down.

I'm with the OP, too. If we use the platoons, Cal doesn't have to think about substitutions.

The platoon system was working very well. If something isn't broke don't fix it.

I too am with the OP. One through five we have a very good team no matter what lineup. But 1 through 5 we aren't significantly better than some teams. What made/makes us significantly better is the lack of drop off in our 10 man platoon system being able to wear down and overwhelm teams. I say go with Willis, or depending on the matchup maybe Hawkins, and get back to the 5 new guys every 4-5 minutes.

I am with ya . Yep . i think he should stick with them at least until the last 5 minutes . If it is close then just go with you who trust but at least give it a chance to wear the other team down.
