Very excited about the upcoming season, as most all of us are. But thinking ahead to the following season . . . yes, we'll obviously miss Nick, and Justin Mullins too. But it seems to me that the production we'll lose after this season is considerably less than what we lost in Barnhizer, Ty Berry, Big Matt and Jalen Leach from last year. And given the fairly extensive minutes our young guys will be getting this season, it seems reasonable to expect that a number of them - and it doesn't need to be ALL of them - will take an appreciable step forward in '26-'27. In today's climate, keeping them all together without significant transfer losses won't be easy to pull off, of course. But if CCC can manage to keep the majority of this squad together, I would just toss out there that we could be a top-15 type team over the next couple of seasons. Dare I suggest this could even go so far as to be the beginning of a golden age of Northwestern basketball? Of course none of us have crystal balls . . . but as a 40-year, non alum fan, I can't recall ever being as optimistic about the state of the program as I am now. What do you guys think?

It's impossible to really discuss a roster this far in advance in the portal era, and the team will be losing the best scorer in the conference, but it has to also be recognized the program is bringing an unprecedented level of young talent in this year and next year, so things indeed look bright if we can hold it together.

The altheticism of Page, Singleton and Reid is something we have not really seen at NU before, We have had good and really hard workers that get it done but this is potentially a different level

Yep. There were some poster plays last night including one of his. His is about the best of what we have seen in the past, That said while we have sorta seen some of his level of athleticism in the past, it is hard to say the same about Page, Singleton and Reid

I know it was a scrimmage and all, but we went toe-to-toe with Iowa State on the road, without a point guard. The next three weeks will be very interesting indeed.
They were also without their best player and point guard Lipsey but point taken.
