All that optimism & we truly appear to be the worst team in the conference.
They are 2bd string talent. No reason to give them experienceThat is how the portal goes. Win some in the portal. This year we lost. Time to just develop the young guys to get better. Need to see a lot of Ugusuk, Conyers, and Scott moving forward. We lose? What's the difference. We are already losing.
We are not winning with this group. We can keep banging our head against the wall with whom we deem the starters. However, we only get something out of this seAson by giving some of the young guys time and experience. I might give another couple of games, but it will be time to pull the plug at some point. They are 2bd string talent. No reason to give them experience
It's just what we do here! You mean we gave a coach a raise and an extension and he immediately craps the bed? That's never happened here before.....
100% agree with this since it's obvious we're not making the Big Dance. I'd like to see a starting lineup of Ugusuk, Scott, Conyers, CMB, Pringle. Let those guys who are talented, but need seasoning, get the most minutes. Wright is who he is....a reserve that comes on the bench in spells. And speaking of reserves off the bench, I'd way rather see Butler, even though his defense is horrid, get some of that seasoning. We don't need BVD on the court. Davis is what he is....on occasion a defensive specialist. He should also come off the bench for spells. Same for Thomas. Let him be a spark plug like Vinny Johnson used to be for the Pistons. Thomas could be our "microwave." Might as well play the guys that need developing for future seasons. Iron sharpens iron. That is how the portal goes. Win some in the portal. This year we lost. This men's basketbal season.......All that optimism & we truly appear to be the worst team in the conference.
I think Paris is a good coach but he needs more NIL monies to draw more portal players to USC. But if I had to be honest I want all of the money to go to the football team because basketball isn’t as important to me!!Coach might not be the right fit for us.
The Belgium lawyer can have an impact when playing, but I do agree that Coach Paris staff need to figure a way to get Butler some playing time since South Carolina will likely need Butler to play next season.100% agree with this since it's obvious we're not making the Big Dance. When it comes to watching, I always prefer watching women over men.I think I'll watch the women instead.
No - the women seem to be in top form.Basketball, too!
I appreciate your honesty. I'd like more going to baseball. But neither of us is the athletic director.I think Paris is a good coach but he needs more NIL monies to draw more portal players to USC. But if I had to be honest I want all of the money to go to the football team because basketball isn’t as important to me!!
I figured somebody would say thatWhen it comes to watching, I always prefer watching women over men.
What political issues?I have to say I doubt Paris’ talent evaluation and judgment when putting a group out on the court. Team looks in cohesive and undisciplined. Just a sense that there are favoritism, popularity, and political issues going on within the program.
The team looks like they need a point guard who knows how to take care of the ball! There is not enough experienced depth to discipline a guy for turning the ball over. The big men we have are not going to dominate the paint, that’s a bad combination when you don’t have a point guard, the two injuries don’t help and I’m not talking talent I’m talking depth! CMB can’t do it all, especially when the opponents game-plan is to shut him down, there is no one else on the team to go to! It’s pretty simple!I have to say I doubt Paris’ talent evaluation and judgment when putting a group out on the court. Team looks in cohesive and undisciplined. Like I said it’s just something I sense when I watch how the players interact and pass to each other. I could be wrong and could have worded it more clearly. I do feel like there are one or two guys who are “in there” that really shouldn’t be playing as much as they are without naming names. What political issues?
Maybe there's no one else to turn to?Like I said it’s just something I sense when I watch how the players interact and pass to each other. I could be wrong and could have worded it more clearly. Fair. That's not a good thing when you look at the state of the program though.Maybe there's no one else to turn to?
I can see that. It's hard to get a handle on today’s teams, with what we are losing it looks like we could be at the bottom of the league for the next couple years, but who really knows anymoreIts going to be year by year now. MIZZOU didn't win a conference game last year and this year they are good.
Again, please explain the political issues present -- have I missed the news?Like I said it’s just something I sense when I watch how the players interact and pass to each other. He did. In the post you quoted.Again, please explain the political issues present -- have I missed the news?
I did not see any illustration of politics in his reply. He did. In the post you quoted.![]()
We noticed.I did not see any illustration of politics in his reply.
We are.All that optimism & we truly appear to be the worst team in the conference.
We have a point guard on the floor? No leadership at point guard, insufficient offensive prowess all the way around, and even our player who fancies himself a first round pick plays with tentativeness and doesn't hit the basic shots consistently. We're toast this year in MBB. Transfer your energies to WBB and baseball.
Here's the quote you posted. He admitted he could have been more clear.Explain please.
