This bring back Jurich campaign seems to be gaining steam.

I thought, at first, it was just wishful thinking by a handful of fans. But, media types are acting like it's a real possibility, and Lamar just gave his endorsement, fwiw, as have other former athletes. My thing is, and I'd welcome him back in a heart beat, it's hard to catch lightening in a bottle twice. Jurich inherited a complete rebuild, top to bottom. I'm not talking football. I'm not talking basketball. I'm talking all of it. He not only got things in order, but UofL was routinely a top 20 athletic dept. during his tenure. Sure, some things went sideways. He had a president creative with accounting. He was loyal to a fault, too strong willed. But, his downfall came at the hands of interims. Then, as we all know, he was ultimately cleared of any wrong doing. So, here we have a candidate familiar with the lay of the land, a ridiculous amount of experience, and, oh, he's available. Count me in.

TJ told a good friend of mine last week that he agreed “to assist UL in any way that he could”, but that Terrilynn would not support his return to UL as AD, based on the manner in which the University had treated their son Mark, damaging his young and promising career path.

I got the impression from my friend, that he still believes that Tom and Terrilynn might be willing to work through that hurtful past, and reconsideration could occur in the coming weeks. Tom is in rehab recovering from Knee Surgery right now and has time to think.

As memory serves - Mark was fairly (rightfully) upset at the way his father was terminated and said some things that I’m sure that he’d rethink if given the opportunity. Conflict is never a one way street.

It was some petty BS by both parties. Tyra moved Mark’s seats at Yum and Cardinal Stadium after he became AD. Mark complained via email, which Tyra took public.

It is was one of those situations where they try to make you quit by treating you bad. I am all for bringing TJ back and his son Mark. Get everything back in place and start brining money in again. However according to some of our fans we don’t need a fund raiser because they think we have plenty of money.

Spoke directly to a donor that is friends with Jurich. He said he’s spoken to him and that he’s 50-50 on returning.

Provided the job is offered.

BRG: That is consistent with what I have been told as well. Schnatter, Grissom and Tyra no longer have any influence, and John’s steep fall from grace in this community seems to open the door much wider for Tom.

This would for Real be A DREAM COME TRUE for me and I believe UofL. I def know it would be for me, I'm on Toms side through all this stuff. That was the uofl I fell in love with was toms UofL, sorry I was born in 1990 so Tom got there in 97 or something, that's right when I started paying attention to sports with my father. I felt like it was ridiculous to fire Tom and Pitino, but I can see why to fire Rick. Tho I wouldn't of, he was shown to know NOTHING of the events that conspired. I may be in the minority but IDC we all have our own opinions, but regardless I have been saying that since we lost Tyra. I said it obviously as a joke, but I was serious too, to my dad and friends, that jurich was still around and not doing anything. To see this grassroot campaign to get him back is AWESOME, PLEASE TOM, a lot of us are on your side, imagine, getting the money you were owed from the University for ILLEGALLY being fired, and then getting rehired again. I just hope all those butt hurt people that were in high positions at uofl are removed or gotten past their bitterness. I'm sure most of the fans want you all to be yes men to Tom again instead of forcing the master out just so you all could run the University right into the ground. Lol if it's not broke don't fix it. I don't think an assistant coach making an AWFUL decision calls for EVERYBODY to get fired, jeez. But that's done and over and regardless of what I think we did fire everybody. Maybe we can get the biggest piece of the puzzle back in Tom. Then maybe Go after Pitino for coach. How hilarious and great would it be if Tom and Rick both came back, wow IDC that would be the best thing ever, they def would be better than the second coming of Petrino. Lol but hey give him credit, he was a steady head coach to transition us to the ACC, since we couldn't keep Strong, cause I think it would of been even better if we had Charlie. He underachieved with Lamar, unfortunately he couldn't get along with Grantham to be able to have him as a d coordinator for Lamar's last year we might of had a better season, Prolly like 90% chances of being better than freaking Peter Sirmon actually. Lol I would of been better then ole Pete haha then ya I guess Bobby woke up one day and said **** I lost all the good defensive players strong left me and Lamar, and also I get paid 14 mil to lose and get fired or get like 5 mill a year to bust my *** and my teams *** and Try to win as many as we can. I could see somebody taking advantage of that MISTAKE of a contract that doesn't love uofl like me. That's was toms contract, but I'm sure he learned from that mistake, and also, WE ALL LOVED that contract when it was signed, cause we were terrified of him leaving for a "better" job like he's apt to do. We didn't even think of if we needed to let him go, what we would do. Ya I think having Tom would ease so many of our worries about the program and we would know that we have somebody that will work diligently to make UofL a Destination. I enjoyed it when UofL OWNED the city of Louisville. I'm open to having that feeling again.. it's crazy to think we had a president for what a year? Bendapudi... She even said she loved uofk in her first speech to us and then left and went to Penn State and said in her first speech there that she's always been a Blue and White girl. And her lasting impact is her decision to do the athletic directors job for em and make them QUIT, and while that's going on SHE'S TALKING WITH A DIFFERENT UNIVERSITY THE WHOLE TIME, and leaves right after Tyra puts in his resignation letter. Without ever knowing his BOSS was taking a different job , which I believe would of weighed heavy on his decision to leave. But screw it, if TOM comes back then I'll be happy hour it turned out. If not then ya I hate everybody at the board and Neeli bendaasshole and everybody else that willingly took us down from the inside. Y'all can think conspiracy if you want, but those theories don't come out of thin air.
