Charlotte is horrible. I'm not sure this game tells us much. I'm proud they rebounded and played great. I still am not sure that this game tells us much.

It doesn't. It also does not change my opinion of next week's game. I think it will be a close game, but in a close game it will be hard to justify taking Stoops over Petrino. We shall see. I do not think it will be a blowout either way for sure...gonna be close.

It told me that they haven't quit yet. If this team had given up then this game would have been a 2-3 TD game.

Definitely doesn't tell us anything but I think it gives a spark to this team that hadn't had one in weeks.

We will have to score in the 30 's to have a chance at beating Louisville. I didn't see anything tonight especially in the passing game that gives me hope we can do that.

I like the spark it gives us. We will be coming off a blowout win. Hopefully Stoops uses this to help build confidence going into the game.

On the other hand, they are coming off an are kicking.

While this actual game doesn't tell us anything, hopefully it has positioned us for a win.

Charlotte was as bad as any team that has ever come in here. Physically they looked like a mid level high school team. This is a throw away game. We should destroyed them and we did. End of story.

This game just showed that we were a complete mismatch for Charlotte. We did exactly what we should have done against them. We also played in bad weather with a 27 mph wind for the entire game and did what you are suppose to do against an inferior opponent.

Unless you're a scum ball piece of crap, I think it's easy to see why we took Stoops.

No matter who it was, beating Charlotte tonight let the team have fun again. It was good to see our guys smile.

Everyone with common sense knew BEFORE this game that it wouldn't tell us much.

Actually I think it tells us quite a bit. We've heard the past couple weeks how Stoops has lost this team, all this bitterness inside the locker room bla bla bla. What I saw was a team that is quite resilient, came to play and executed. This team obviously has not quit on Stoops as many of the haters have been saying.

I also saw a confident QB who made quick decisions and an offense that played faster than they have at any point all season.

We also saw that if you put Kemp in in goal line last week we probably win.

Smells like we have yet another UL troll trying to pose as a UK fan. Always taking up for UL, yet never has anything positive to say about UK. Things that make you go Hmmm.

I'm praying you really know why the offense played faster last night. Stoops hasn't permitted the offense to play fast all year. Why? Because it puts your defense on the field more and exposes them. For example we ran 45 total offensive plays against Georgia. Last night we ran that many plays the first half I think. As you could tell last night there was no chance of the defense getting exposed so the offense was permitted to do what it was built and recruited for.

Next week it will be back to the same old thing. So when you see that don't believe the offense has necessarily regressed.

It tells us we can at least dominate lessor competition. Our performances against ULL and EKU weren't exactly impressive. This one was. It was great for the team to get a big win, and be able to feel good about themselves. It has to help moral. I agree though we need to be reasonable, and not get too carried away. Let's all hope this time next week we'll be discussing a win over UL. It'd go a long way towards salvaging what's left of the season especially with the fans.

I mean in a close game you favor Petrino over Stoops as he is the better coach. I was not referring to hiring Stoops vs. Petrino. Try to keep up.

Wow. I don't see any reason other than his last name. Tell me where he had been successful in the past.

You can't. He hasn't. He was a high risk, low cost gamble, who has turned into a low return, high cost loss.

Just to make sure that we are on the same page, you are talking about why we should have taken Petrino instead of Stoops? Is that correct?

I was just trying to make sure that you weren't going to the dark side #8. As far as coaching minds, Petrino is ahead of Stoops, and he seems to find asst coaches who are more experienced. But he also has been doing it longer and on different levels but I think Stoops will get there.

Were those the only two choices? My choice is neither. One is incompetent and the other is immoral. You make the call for you own 'choice'.

But I'll bet we could find a decent guy who is a winning, experienced coach who would come to Kentucky for a boatload of money. Instead, we gave a boatload of money to a guy who has never sailed a ship. He's a real good bosun's mate though...

It sounds like we agreed, to a degree.

Who wants this job where coaches go to die? Since the 50's every coach has left because he had to except Guy Morris and Rich Brooks, right? People are not seeking this job. We hired Brooks because no one else would take it. Everyone says throw money at a good coach.

I've posted this 10 times without a response: We hire Bill Curry the year he won the SEC at Alabama. He was the SEC and AP coach of the year, and he left Alabama and came to Kentucky. He could not win here. Quit saying our administration does not seek and hire top notch coaches.
